A small challenging golf course
Have played many rounds here and like to mix it up with the main nine and the very challenging par three, which should not be taken lightly.Currently, with the hot weather watering can interrupt the use of the courses,so worth checking before leaving home.
The greens are very flat but the sun is taking its toll.
Generally, still a gem set in the Essex countryside and at a reasonable price.
The cafe/restaurant offers a wide range of snacks and drinks from coffee to beer and two excellent breakfasts.

great place for learning, improving
I joined this year, my first club, because it has served me well in my transition from playing mainly par 3 courses. it's also compact enough to do 18 holes in a reasonable time(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 97 Handicap: 0)

Worth a visit
Its a nine hole with only 1 alternative tee on number 1, but good course, and fees are very reasonable, nice club house with good food.(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 103 Handicap: 19.7)

Bunsay/Badgers,nr Maldon Essex.
The course is divided into the main 9 hole or Badgers 9 hole you can mix and match as you like. The main course is not too long with fairly wide fairways and good for golfers of mixed ability. At the moment there are mushy areas on the fairways, but upto now all trolleys are allowed.
Badgers is a superb par 3 course which will test even the best and with fairly firm fairways,in the Summer it's a joy to play. greens are generally good on both for midwinter .A friendly clubhouse with a selection of hot snacks are available.A resident Greenkeeper is there to keep an eye on things and does a good job.

2 Ball with Andy Skinner. Weather was grey and cold with snow flurrys to start with. Course a little muddy with no carry as you would expect. Let through by a 3 ball on the second and then had a clear run finishing in 3 1/4 Hours.

a nice 9 hole course so you have to play the same holes twice but I would play it again but shame everything shuts at 4pm this time of year.
