I think this course is a really good and fair test of golf and has a bit for anyone. If you want to have a go with the driver on some holes, you can really let rip and you will be rewarded with a good hit. Although stray badly, and you will be punished, just as you should be. The shorter hitters can also be very competitive here though because a number of the holes aren't that long, some are quite short really for par 4 standards. The one real exception is the monstrous SI1 hole 11, which is a pure beast. One of our party thought that this was the only 'unfair' hole on the course and it was perhaps over the top in terms of difficulty, especially as it played into the wind on this day.
However, overall this is a brilliant course and extremely interesting. I can't think of any boring holes and the place really keeps you interested and thinking. This isn't always a straightforward drive and iron in, there are plenty of intricacies you have to be mindful of. From a personal point of view I thought holes 5, 7 and 16 were the best, and the view from the 13th tee is great. For £15 a head (twilight offer) you can't go far wrong here. We fully intend to return later in the year when the course is in full summer bloom. Anyone who plays this course won't be disappointed, get yourself there for a round!
One final note. Half the holes are fairly exposed so wind can be a big factor. The day we played was moderately windy, but it really impacted certain holes. If it was a really blustery day I could not recommend going here. Unless you love playing in wind of course, else it’d just be far too difficult.

Some greens were OK, had been sanded, so in a couple of weeks will be fine, course in general was dry and in good nick.
