Don't be fooled by the course card or yardage, this course will test every level of player. Course in tip top condition. Facilities second to none. Members and staff extremely friendly.

Being new to golf after retiring from rugby every course I play on is new to me and a challenge.

The value for money is great; £2 for 60 range balls before I teed off.

Greens where well kept and tge fairways had little signs of wear if any.

The staff where friendly and helpful; will definatly be going back with friends.

I'm very much a beginner, and this course is great for me. It's called the lakes course for a reason, and I always come away feeling sorry for the fish and ducks living there as I must be a constant threat to them. The course provides me with a good challenge at my level, but isn't so tricky as to put me off the game. There is also a 9hole par 3 course, which is a nice way to get started. The club has a large driving range and a computer simulator too.

Myself and another relative newby played 27 holes last weekend and had a most enjoyable time. The course whilst relatively short is certainly a challenge for game improvers and I think that the amount of water would mean it was also a reasonable test for better golfers as well.

The greens seem very fast and the fairways are quite green given the limited amount of rain we have had this summer.

Only downside is that if you have a buggy you have to drive it up and down the edge of the driving range.

Short course with lots of water needing precise irons/wedges or you will need some spare balls...

Not the longest course in the world but does wonders for your confidence off the Tee if you like to use your driver followed by a wedge! For the better handicapper you only need at most a three wood on one or two holes.
The short holes are exactly that, short! Half a wedge on the 1st.
The greens are immaculate and are by far the best on any course in the immediate vicinity excluding the Belfry of course.
As it is only a Nine holer it is plagued by near-dead four balls playing for the Ryder cup!!! As it is a pay and play course it is also sometimes subject to those who are ignorant of etiquette. I love the course and as a begginer you would struggle to find a better course for the money in central England. Shame about the length and lack of a changing room.

A few very wet areas but cosidering the rain we've had the course and greens were good, it's a neat little course, not one for the big hitters although there are holes where your driver is needed (3rd,5th & 9th).
