What the club says: Set in just over 100 acres of beautiful rolling Warwickshire countryside to the east of Birmingham, the course provides an excellent test of golf and is the chosen venue for regular representative matches at County and Midland level. The course is set in the extensive grounds of the magnificent medieval moated Maxstoke Castle. The par 71 course is 6,442 yards in length and is blessed with many mature trees. Several holes require the ability to draw or fade the ball around some very large oaks and horse chestnuts. There are two large lakes on the course and other strategically placed water features mean that water can catch the wayward shot on 8 of the 18 holes.

Excellent staff to make you welcome before playing. Course was in great condition, with some challenging holes but with room to recover. the food was excellent and again the staff were very friendly. - Nov 6 2017
Golf Course Reviews for Maxstoke Park Golf Club
Having played this course on previous occasions I was very disappointed with the fairways. They had obviously suffered a lot worse than some other courses due to the recent hot weather as the green grass expected was totally non existent in large parts but in fairness the greens were immaculate. Fairways affected game considerably but that is the way things go. Good clubhouse and friendly members and the carling cold drank after our round was probably the best pint of this stuff I have ever had. Will always play here as it is a great venue.

Weather was perfect. The 1st tee is straight and therefore lures you into a false sense of security if you are wayward off the tee. The greens seem slightly harder than they look but are presented beautifully. Bunkers on the whole are good, a couple seemed to have rough sand in compared to others. Water can be very penal as there are a few hidden little ponds here and there. Facilities need some investment, gents shower room was smelly and cluttered. Not that i'm complaining but some may find that the rough is cut back too much but at least you will find your wayward tee shots.
nice set up, generally flat with some water hazards, and some interesting holes

Maxstoke is a beautiful course superb greens , the course has everything to challenge every Handicap
Much better than when i visited 3 weeks ago - the greens are in tip top condition (last time they were heavily sanded) and the few bunkers I found were in lovely condition with lots of really nice fine sand (my kids could have played in them for hours! :-) ). My playing partner was really wowed by the condition ...the fairways were lush too. such a nice evening round! The standout view is the approach to the 17th over water and with the castle behind.....incredible. But my favourite hole is the par 4 6th over water on your approach. A truly wonderful hole. 2 ball completed in 3.5 hours is a bonus!

Superb golf course in a great condition, shame about the hospitality. Played here many times in my youth and returned to play with my dad. Upon arrival we were treated in a unwelcome manner, It was possibly due to the fact we had booked a tee time "deal". We arrived approx 30 mins before our time to sign in and had a little practice etc, the tee box had been empty and so politely asked if we may tee off to an abrupt "no, you have to wait till your time, your on a deal". Went to the tee box at our tee slot and a chap jumped in front of us to tee off. A little advice if i may, if you have visitors coming to your course then consider it an opportunity to impress and who knows you may have two new members on your books. Instead, we will most likely not be coming back !
Good society day out. Course played great for the time of year, excellent condition. Great food and friendly staff
Lovely course with some fantastic holes. Great diversity in the par 4 layout with some real birdie opportunities and also a really challenging final few holes.

Before I started this round today I phoned the club to ask if it was busy and the pro told me no when In booked and turned up there were 5 4 balls waiting to tee off I think this is a disgrace the pros attitude on the phone was also terrible like he didn't really want to be there I won't be returning g
(Round played: Sep 2017 - Score: 92 Handicap: 19.7)
very good practice facilities, 200+ yrd range, chipping area and 2 nets for a quick warm up
Course: layout is a bit quirky lots of hybrid for the position, some iffy bounces being rock hard in places, greens receptive and true and in excellent condition.
Coffee £1.20 in the clubhouse :-) a good day out for the captains charity Friday event.
Back again next year for sure :-)
