A very attractive course with some interesting holes. For someone like me who is not long off the tee it makes getting pars feasible - even if I don't manage them often. They have also thought about the siting of the ladies tees - something not always found on some courses.
When played the course including the greens were in very good condition. The food was good too as a bonus.

Lovely Parkland course.
All holes playable despite there being a lot of rain. No temp greens and only a few temp tees. Tree lined fairways must be lovely in summer, I played February. Quite challenging with water coming into play on several holes. Reasonable pro shop. I'll definitely play this again. Driving range was use your own balls which was a bit strange.Reviewer Rating

A real game of Golf
I would recommend anybody to play this course if they are in the midlands. It is a country park lay out with the Castle as a background,with a well designed layout which is challenging. Just down the road from the Forest of Aren G C. but cost a little less for a days golf. Friendly welcome from the members help make the day.Reviewer Rating

Lovely course, worth playing

Proper Members Course

Fabulous course
Played here for the first time today. Despite very squally weather the course was fabulous. My only gripe is the lack of consistent yardage markers on each hole? Even just 150 and 100 yard markers would be helpful. Otherwise fab!Reviewer Rating

Interesting course with view of Castle
A well designed parkland course in the old grounds of the Castle which is privately owned. A flat course but a good test of Golf. the "Lake Land" hole is a challenge.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 95 Handicap: 19.9)

Excellent staff to make you welcome before playing. Course was in great condition, with some challenging holes but with room to recover. the food was excellent and again the staff were very friendly.

very well maintained but very very very flat apart from the 4 holes on the back nine the last 2 were my favorite, great setting with the castle and a nice club house

Badly organised.
1 hour 20 minutes for 3 holes, then I walked off. 3 groups waiting on every tee. Members say it’s normal and they won’t be renewing next time around. There are plenty of courses less than the £35 paid here that give a much better overall experience.Reviewer Rating

Hot and Great
In the hottest day so far it was still an absolute pleasure finally here. Great facilities, very warm and friendly welcome and a top top course with greens to die for. Course was in great condition all round and the greens were as good as you’ll find. Food and drink was also great and very well priced. Well worth a visit - Fabulous Greens
Played a social round as part of a reciprocal agreement with my Home Club, glorious weather for mid-October and what a fabulous course. Played it 35 years ago, so a lot of the course (celebrating it's 150th anniversary), so had matured even more, really nice treelined parkland course not overly long, but some well placed lakes coming into play. The greens were absolutely superb, especially for the time of year. It is clear that this course is well managed with a great greenkeeping team. Excellent course in great condition all round. Greens, tee box, fairways all immaculate. Variety of holes good with views of the castle made it a very pleasant experience. Cost very good. Clubhouse very friendly and attentive with a very nice breakfast.
