This was the second course I’ve played whilst in Mauritius and the scenery especially on the drive into the estate and on the back 9 is absolutely stunning. There is a well stocked professional shop for any items you may need and a putting green and range right next to the first tee. The range itself is quite short but still just about long enough for the average golfer to take the headcovers off in the warm up. The course itself is incredibly challenging, much more so than the rating of 71.5 off black tees would suggest. It is by far one of the most narrow golf courses I think I’ve ever played with the par 5 16th the one that sticks in the memory. The views whilst playing that and the par 3 17th are just wonderful, like wow! The course condition from tee to green was ok, with the greens in very good order. Another course where a cart is recommended for pace of play reasons and the heat would make walking far less enjoyable, especially if you’d like to stop for a well deserved drink at the halfway hut. The cost for the round was 7,500 rupees which worked out to be around £130. Having played Tamarina for a similar fee, I would say for golf that Tamarina was better value but I would absolutely play it again for the setting alone and the challenge it presents.

Nice practice range, course a bit dry but not bad. Good test of skill generally, with plenty of water in play on many holes. Got 18 inches away from a free watch on the Omega sponsored par 3 6th, darn it (camera on the green would confirm it). Service very variable over the 6 rounds I played there. Disappointed with the security of the course with hawkers around the coast areas on what was supposed to be secured resort on a peninsula. Also they don`t describe their signature holes of 16th and 17th with locals fishing on edge of fairway. Very disconcerting hoping that an errant tee shot on the par 3 17th doesn't hit and kill a local standing 30 feet away.

The most picturesque golf course I have played to date, absolutely stunning. Not too long and certainly score able. Highly recommend you visit if in Mauritius.
