stunning course, very much like Woburn. A must play, no bad holes. Only criticism there were no stroke savers in the pro shop, playing every hole 'blind' is a challenge you can do without.

Nigel Tokley (Head Pro) is a tremendously welcoming gentleman. We were met by Matt one of the resident professionals and provided with lots of freebies, tees, pitch mark repairers and Nigel also gave us Course planners FOC. The course is a test and you really need to know your yardages.. Drove the 8th and 6th which are always going to be "MUST TRY" holes when you play there. Off the Yellows the course is easily playable to Handicap although you need to be straight with every drive as the dense woods are the major threat. We were even met on the 9th Green and provided with complimentary hot cups of soup which was most welcome on a chilly day. All in all Remedy Oak is an absolute gem and I consider it to be in my UK top 5 for sure. The staff are extremely professional in every aspect and we were looked after from the moment we walked through the door. There is clearly a lot of work being done by the Grounds Staff which is evident around some tees and greens and all I can say is good luck to them because this course is a monster with beautiful views, superb contours and very challenging greens. Not often I rate a course higher than 4 but this one gets a 5.. Looking forward to going back in the Spring..!!

Remedy Oak is a great club, set in a rural location, the drive up to the clubhouse gives you an indicator of what to expect.

The clubhouse is of high quality with plenty of glass and oak panelling, good food and drink, and the pro shop is small but is adequate.

The hospitality from the staff was first rate, but i suppose thats to be expected from a club that has a joining fee of £10,000 as well as a costly annual subscription.

Onto the course and facilities. The club is fairly new so it is still investing in altering the course design, this is evident in the new first green that is now in play.
The range, chipping and putting greens are as you would expect first class and more than adequate.

Whilst playing the course you get why wealthy members love it so much as you feel as if you are on your own and rarely see anyone else. With its limited memberships, the course is fairly empty unless they have a charity event or society days.
The conditioning from tee to green is immaculate, and the greens although very large in size are true and quick with subtle humps and breaks to make an effect.
The course has the ability to play extremely long with a large range between the front tees and very back purple tees.
All in all the course is fantastic, each hole is framed by large pines and other trees and the general feel of the place is high quality.
Some feel as though the 18th hole is a let down to the course with its dog leg but it will not ruin the experience at all.

Many in the area believe its strictly a private members club and don't realise you can be a paying visitor! If you hang on until the very start of the winter golf period £50 is a steal.
If this course was located in Surrey you probably wouldn't have the opportunity to play it, and if you did it would be at least £160.

Undoubtedly one of the best courses to have opened in the UK this century! The course is an excellent layout meandering through mature forests and it makes excellent use of the existing landscape.
Yes the clubhouse is modest in size, but the owner is limiting membership to just 400. The locker room was well appointed with lockers, showers and a never ending supply of towels. The staff are excellent and attentive and the food was very good.
In my opinion this course is on a par with the Edinburgh at Wentworth.

This is a superb golf course. By miles the best in the area. The course is in magnificent condition from the Tees through to lightening fast and difficult to read greens. A great experience from start to finish and a must play. A little expensive at £85 but that did include coffee and a full english breakfast!

I had the pleasure of playing at this amazing golf course recently and I can honestly say that it was one of the best golf experiences I have ever had. The course itself was in immaculate condition with a great mix of challenging holes that provided a good test of golf. The scenery was simply stunning and the clubhouse and pro shop staff were incredibly welcoming. From start to finish it was a great day out and I look forward to playing here again very soon!
