Pros: High quality greens; some great/beautiful holes; very well maintained/manicured.
Cons: Modest clubhouse/locker rooms; stony paths; scrappy areas quite an eyesore; poor/absent signage; a tricksy 18th.
In my opinion this club is trying to be something than it is not with it's exclusivity (£5k to join and £2.5k annual membership) and very restricted ability to play. It IS a very good course but there are plenty of others that I would choose to play again ahead of this one.

Very well designed course
A proper championship course, very well designed and the various tee box options make it a good course for all levels. Sadly though it does not drain well at all and it can be a bog when wet. A summer course for sure!Reviewer Rating

As good a wooded property as you could hope for, winds it's way round very like the Marquess course at Woburn. Condition just as good, lush and well kept fairways, excellent bunkers, greens very slopey in part so apparently kept a little slow, just under 8. Great to have the range and green close to the clubhouse, professional and polite staff.
Three things could be better, if you are judging it relative to its fairly hefty green fee. At least three forced layups, which is probably two too many. The last hole is amusing but isn't quite majestic enough for such a grand setting. Most serious niggle by far is the state of the gravelly paths though. There are some decent walks between tees, which is fine as the layout is worth it, but the paths make even power caddies hard going. Hopefully someone will make the substantial investment required, and I'll definitely be back.
Under rated on here, this is not overshadowed at all by its more established neighbours. Nice quiet coffee machine as well.

great treat to play
great course and well kept but the weather turned and it poured down . very well draining course . brilliant course for those who have a fade as most fairways here turn to the right.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 98 Handicap: 20.7)
