The clubhouse is of high quality with plenty of glass and oak panelling, good food and drink, and the pro shop is small but is adequate.
The hospitality from the staff was first rate, but i suppose thats to be expected from a club that has a joining fee of £10,000 as well as a costly annual subscription.
Onto the course and facilities. The club is fairly new so it is still investing in altering the course design, this is evident in the new first green that is now in play.
The range, chipping and putting greens are as you would expect first class and more than adequate.
Whilst playing the course you get why wealthy members love it so much as you feel as if you are on your own and rarely see anyone else. With its limited memberships, the course is fairly empty unless they have a charity event or society days.
The conditioning from tee to green is immaculate, and the greens although very large in size are true and quick with subtle humps and breaks to make an effect.
The course has the ability to play extremely long with a large range between the front tees and very back purple tees.
All in all the course is fantastic, each hole is framed by large pines and other trees and the general feel of the place is high quality.
Some feel as though the 18th hole is a let down to the course with its dog leg but it will not ruin the experience at all.
Many in the area believe its strictly a private members club and don't realise you can be a paying visitor! If you hang on until the very start of the winter golf period £50 is a steal.
If this course was located in Surrey you probably wouldn't have the opportunity to play it, and if you did it would be at least £160.

Yes the clubhouse is modest in size, but the owner is limiting membership to just 400. The locker room was well appointed with lockers, showers and a never ending supply of towels. The staff are excellent and attentive and the food was very good.
In my opinion this course is on a par with the Edinburgh at Wentworth.
