good course would like to play in summer as playing off some winter tee's and lots of leafy fairways but excellent value for money.

(Round played: Nov 2011 - Score: 98 Handicap: 22.6)

Front nine is a lovely test of golf but the back nine is under a lot of development at the moment which means lots of mounds of earth and ground under repair. Also quite close to a karting track which can make for a noisy round.

This used to be in the top three public golf courses and I played there on the first day it opened and have played there regularly. Since being taken over by Jack Barker the course has deteriated beyond description. The clubhouse and facilitys are run down, the greens are very very poor, there are no practice areas apart from a putting area and the back nine has been desecrated by a vast amount of tipping/land fill. This course has been ruined by Jack Barker. What they have done is a disgrace in my opinion and should never have been allowed to do it. Poor Tamworth council decision once again!!

Municiple course run by Jack Barker corporation, gets very busy with all standard of golfer, some of which have no golf ettiquete,so if you get stuck behind these they dont tend to let you through, and a round can take 5hours!Generally good fairways and greens, though not a great challenging course though relatively cheap at £13.

learnt to play golf on this course and have been playing here for 12 years, but since it was taken over by Jack Barker it has gone downhill badly. The greens are so bad there's no point even trying to put, and the bunkers have no sand what so ever in them.

I have always told people to play this course, but now I will be telling them not to, until money is put back into the course.

Thanks for ruining the course jack barker.

After playing the last few times I would not recommend to anyone. If you like waiting 15 mins on each tee with 3 other groups then yes I would recommend. Had to walk off after 6 holes that took me 2 hours. I have never seen a course with slow play like this. Its hit and miss sometimes its just about ok but most of the time it can take over 5 hours. No one lets you through even when they are taking 10 mins to look for a ball. Too busy and not worth the money.
