The greens, fairway and rough were all extremely uncut, and therefore made the round less enjoyable as a result.

I played Tamwortth Golf Centre with my son who is just starting in the game. I have to say this is the worst kept course I have ever played, The fairways had not been cut so the ball sat down and couldn't be seen until you were on top of it, the light rough was at least 4 inches deep, there was no sand in the bunkers and the greens were like shag pile carpet. I lost 4 balls never again.

Not to bad a course, greens all but two in very good condition. Tee boxes were poor and the length of the fairways needed cutting, bunkers were building sand but fir the price £7.50 ( groupon) it was ok.

course could do with a good cut as fairway grass is a bit long i would recommend it to people if it was in better condition as is a nice course to play and i will play here again myself

Used to be one of the best municiples in the midlands, hadn't played there for about 10 years and was shocked at the condition of the course now. It needs attention to get it back to where it once was.

Course needs some work, greens not brilliant and bunkers very hard and some with weeds in them! We got a deal on groupon and as such only paid £9 for our round which is why it was value for money. Will not be rushing back to play again though.

the course is coming along nicely now. the bunkers have been filled with sand for the first time in god knows how many years and with bit of hard work the greens will soon be up to scratch. well done tamworth council. will be looking to join if carries on in this manner

After recent take over from council I was expecting a nice round of golf at a decent course. I was very disappointed from the outset. Every aspect if the course was poor to say the least! Tees, fairways, rough and even greens looked as if they hadn\'t been cut in over a month, greens again full of moss and disease. Bunkers hasn\'t been maintained, full of stones and rubbish. Back 9 is still a construction site with various earth moving vehicles scattered around the course, creating dust and grit where ever you go, the added touch today was the workmen, shouting loudly amoungst themselves about the women they had slept with over the weekend! Such a shame because with a bit of TLC could be a really nice course. As a previous green keeper I would be ashamed to work at this course as its such a poor standard.

NEEDS A LOT OF WORK ON THE COURSE GREENS HAVE MORE MOSS THAN GRASS,MOST OF THE BUNKERS HAVE VERY LITTLE SAND IN THEM AND WHAT IS IN THEM IS ROCK HARD. THE BANKS THAT HAVE BEEN MADE BY TIPPING. IF YOU GO ONTO ONE OF THEM THEY ARE FULL OF ROCKS NOT WORSE DAMAGEING YOUR CLUBS.

hopefully now that the council have taken back over the running of this course it will get back to the fantastic course it once was. condition is not great at moment but with work being put in should soon be up to scratch.

this course is an absolute disgrace, yes we have had poor weather recently and as we are a group that plays a different course each week feel we get a fair judgement between courses. We payed twenty pound to play here and came of with splashes of mud up by my knees. This used to be one of the best municipal courses in the country and we will never play here again when through tee times you can play the aylesford or atherstone for just 5 pounds more. save your money and look elsewhere

The course on the whole was okay, although it needs some work done on the fairways and signage for both which holes you were playing and the way to the next whole. The course has great potential but lacks something

The condition of this course was nothing short of appalling, it was difficult to tell where the fairways ended and the rough started. on asking sarcastically if the green staff where on strike we were told the machine had broken down. We will not be visiting this course again any time soon

It a fair test of golf with some challenging par 4's and the long par 3 on back 9 golf course could do with a little more general maintanence but on the hole a nice course variety of holes which would challennge most golfers

The course is nice enough to look at but the quality lets its down, bunkers have no rakes, greens are poor, fairways too long. Maintenance is lacking! Ok for £10 if booked online.

course was in very poor condition partly due to rain we have had but the work going on on the 4 back holes has really spoiled this course and will not be returning anytime soon. I'm just glad we only paid £10 through tee off times and not the £18 they wanted.
