Northern Star!

This is a jewel of a course. The front nine is quite relaxing; a reasonable challenge without being overwhelming - but that is just a warm-up for the Back! It has spectacular - and maybe even distracting - views across the Dee estuary. It is hilly and features several interesting holes and shot opportunities, including one of the most elevated tees I have ever encountered!

The welcome in the Clubhouse afterwards was warm and friendly. The locals were well up for a chat and a bit of banter, and the whole experience represented outstanding value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed it and shall return.

We would like to thank the staff at pennant for a great day out ,16golfers turned up and are already asking when we can go back and play again ,great value and a superb course and friendly staff ,it will now be put on our annual trips out

The course is amazing haven't played a better course in the last 12 months staff are so friendly the amenities are amazing for a private course I would score it and 11/10

Brilliant course, very good condition given the weather. It's a steal at £40 for a 4 ball. Would consider a buggy next time as it's a little on the hilly side. Lovely condition though and a very nice challenge of golf. Would definitely return.

A good challenging course especially the back nine. The members and officials are very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our day the only let down was once again the weather. We were there in June and managed a dry morning round but were washed out after the fourth hole in the afternoon, much the same today a dry morning round and heavy rain for the first two holes on our 9 hole afternoon round. 9 holes because of the loss of light following the clocks going back but very enjoyable we will return.

played today and found the course to be in great condition for november greens fast and true, fairways a bit heavy but ok and all bunkers had been racked, winter deal £20 with food, anyone in the area should try it

saturday 23rd july 2010 golf society day with 18 lads had 9 holes bacon barms , 18 holes 2 course meal excellent service the course is one of the best i have played and very friendly staff make you feel welcome
