Beautiful course and very well looked after. Front nine is very well set out and some lovely holes, on slight slopes . The back nine levels out and are still lovely holes.
The hire of clubs was expensive at €33 for cobras. And the golf was also expensive at €150 for two with buggie and lunch. We were 1st game out at 7.40 and we were back in the club house by 10.45!
The only down side on that was the price includes lunch but the kitchen did not open until noon. Would play here again no probs.

Course is really nice, well looked after and very picturesque. Club house really smart but some staff a bit snobish. Food good but a bit expensive. A bit up and down hill, but not so bad that a trolley is a must. Would play here everyday and will definately be going back

Agree with guy above, went with a friend and got a great deal, ie 2 euros extra each and got buggy, clubs and 3 course lunch thrown in, so if you are over there and fancy a good day out at a lovely course, can not recommend enough

This was my first visit to the Canaries and my first round last week. As mentioned by previous reviewers, its a good course, not too challenging but the front 9 do work uphill and holes 5 and 6 are rather undulating. The back 9 is a lot flater and offers you an opportunity to open those shoulders on some holes. I played in beautiful weather and there are some cracking views to the mountains and to La Gomera in the distance so bring the camera (whilst ensuring you keep up with play of course). Water and soft drinks are provided free of charge as you tee off and you have an opportunity to top up when you start the back 9. Lovely club house with very friendly and helpful staff. As a single golfer I was paired up with 2 others and thoroughly enjoyed my round. Would definitely go back

This is possibly the fairest course on the island of Tenerife, not too difficult, but still a good test for the average golfer. Water comes into play on several holes, but it's still not too intimidating off the yellow tees. Staff are exceptionally friendly, in their 'laid back' Spanish style and nothing is too much trouble for them. All in all I definitely rate Las Americas golf worth a visit as it's definitely differs from the usual lay-out of 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's so common in the Spanish islands!

A Must-Play Gem

The staff were warm and welcoming, making check-in a breeze and setting the tone for a fantastic day ahead. The clubhouse is modern and well-equipped, with a great pro shop – which came in handy when one of our group had to buy a collared shirt after forgetting the dress code (definitely worth noting: collared shirts are a must!).
The course itself is absolutely immaculate. Every fairway, tee box, and green was in pristine condition, a real credit to the ground staff. The greens in particular were lightning-fast and true. The layout is a great mix – some beautifully tree-lined holes provide a classic feel, while others feature well-placed water hazards that add both beauty and strategy. The mountain views throughout the course are simply stunning and provide a breathtaking backdrop.
I would recommend paying a little extra for the TaylorMade rental clubs and hiring a buggy, not just for comfort but to fully enjoy the relaxed pace and scenery.
After the round, we enjoyed a cold drink on the clubhouse terrace, which overlooks the course and offers yet more spectacular views of the local wildlife.
It’s not cheap, but Golf Las Américas delivers a first-class golfing experience from start to finish.

Expensive but a really nice course

Everything is well done about the course and the services, but you do pay for it.
Also, unless you are a 4 ball then you'll be paying your round with others. When having a coffee on the verandah before my round every single tee time had 4 people on it, most made up of people that didn't know each other. Not a problem as long as you're social, but shows how popular the course is.
Oh, if you like a beer during your round be sure to take some along as it didn't seem possible (bar staff said to get it from the caddie master, caddie master said to get it from the pro shop and pro shop said they didn't sell beer).

Slow, slow

Course suffers from maximising revenue with no control over who allow on course or pace of play. Will fill every gap in tee times to make up 4 balls with no match of abilities. Handicap limit of 28 not enforced(played with guy off 40 who was nearer 70 handicap) and in 2nd round group in front lost 2 holes with no Marshall in sight. Both rounds took over 5 hours. Course itself very average with several par 4s being no more than drive and a lob wedge.

Nice course

Played Las Americas for first time, overall quite impressed. A bit pricey but played in peak season. Facilities very good, nice clubhouse, pro shop, good practice area, driving range. Course in good condition, proper sand in bunkers (not volcanic). Green very quick and true. Good variety of holes, nice finishing par 5 in front of clubhouse. Quite an easy walk around but be prepared for 4.5 hour round as can bit quite slow especially in peak season.
