A very tricky golf course from the fist tee to the last. The greens were superb, the tees a little bare in places. The 12th is long narrow and eats up any balls that stray off the fairway. We played 5 rounds in four days and had a great time although we lost a lot of balls. I would recommend a day out here its not very often your first tee shot is a PW or SW. You'll see why.

10years and counting... The course this year was in the best condition. We've been playing the course for 10 years and still it remains as challenging as ever. A straight shot is key to this course, there are holes that you need to birdie to bank for later in the round particularly the 12th, the greens were the best in all our times here and will be back next year to try and play to my handicap

First time that I have ever played on a foreign golf course and I wasn't disappointed. This course was great, nice challenging holes with plenty of variations in them. Although a challenging course, it is one where you can post a really good score with sensible play. My favourite hole was the very tricky 10th, a 158 metre par 3 over water onto a raised green with a big bunker behind. Also the long par 5 12th is another great hole, you need to be accurate of the tee with your drive as it becomes very narrow around the 200 yard mark, anything left or right is pretty much gone unless you get a lucky bounce of one of the rock face (Which I did, only to put my second shot into the other rock face, not being so lucky the second time).

There are a few minor grumbles about the course. The first is the friendliness of the staff. Our tee of time was 8.02am, so we got there nice and early at 7.40am but was told that we were not allowed into the club shop to check in until 8am when it opened. The other small complaint is that the course can be very wet in areas as is it watered everyday, this can cause some lying water around the edge of the greens and in some of the rough, however this does make for extremely responsive greens and any true golf shot into the green will be rewarded.

I would definitiely recommened this to anyone who is in the area as it is a really nice varied course with some exceptional views.

(Round played: Sep 2012 - Score: 97 Handicap: 28)

Played March 2012. 33 points Stableford

A very poor course, right from the ludicrous first hole. The back 9 is rather better, to be fair.
The course was in really terrible condition, they shouldn't have been taking people's money. The greens had been hollow-tined a couple of days before - they didn't bother to tell us when we booked.

The staff were miserable, although the food was pretty decent.

I can't think of any circumstances in which we would return to this course.

Even though we were an odd sized party we were accomadated very well. We were checked on regularly and everybody ahead of us kept up with play. Overall a very nice pleasant day out.
