Buggy recommended

Amazing course. lovely fairways, greens and bunkers. Houses in the area are amazing to see.
Weather conditions are top. It can be expensive, but both North and South are in the top 10 courses in Europe.

Outstanding course and venue
I played here 6 or 12 months ago and the greens were poor. At the moment they're very good. Not too quick. The course as a whole is in excellent condition and the clubhouse superb.Reviewer Rating

Superb golf course although greens weren’t great today
The three Quinta do lago golf courses are all outstanding. Of the three the north greens were worst. The layout is possibly the best. Impeccable fairways and bunkers.(Round played: Nov 2021 - Score: 80 Handicap: 7)

Really nice; great condition. Buggies and the layout in using them very annoying. Not clear when you can go on the fairway before they cut out - need more signs.

Great course
This course is quite difficult. It’s wonderful. Twice I plugged in bank of bunkers. I thought it was advisable to have the banks hard so the ball rolls down and it’s fairer.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 85 Handicap: 8.1)

Best course on the Algarve
Had heard so much about Quinta North following the extensive changes and it lived up to all expectations. What an absolutely stunning golf course and, without doubt, the best on the Algarve for me. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in superb condition and, whilst not the cheapest golf course to play, well worth playing to treat yourself.Reviewer Rating

Challenging but rewarding
Tough course with some very difficult greens and horrible pin positions. Plenty of bunkers to navigate along the way, but excellent all round.(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 89 Handicap: 18.7)

Fantastic Course QDL North
Played Quinta Do Lago North course and it is simply a quality, a must play in this region. I had a 7.30 tee time so walked and carried, if your playing after 11 am in the summer time my advice would be go for a buddy(which all have gps) to beat the heat. Around the grounds of the clubhouse I don't think there is even a blade of grass out of place which gives the impression the course is going to be maintained to a very high standard which it definitely is. The proshop is very modern and is well stocked with footboy, adidas, under armour, peter millar and gavin green to name a few, one tip is to check out the sales rail as i got 50% off bargain on some galvin green and adidas Quinta Do Lago crested polos!. The bar is very nice offering inside and outside seating which over look the first tee of the South Course. A very warm welcome from every staff member I met which made you feel at home.The course itself is just simply stunning in my opinion and I would be particular on tee box/fairway and green quality all of which were in excellent shape. There are some great photo opportunities on every hole and it is a very fair test of golf. Water is in play on a number of holes but play to your limits and you avoid trouble, having a course planner or gps will help you plan your way round. Its hard to pick a favourite hole as there are so many quality ones. There are three courses at Quinta Do lago and my hope in the future is to get back there to play the South and Laranjal courses along with the North again, also check out the offers on the Quinta Do lago website as its a great way to play the three courses for the best value. Fantastic course, well presented

Best Quinta course
The north course is my favourite at Quinta, the course meanders through the estate and you barely see another golfer. It suits my eye, mainly because I am playing a fade, and I think there are loads of great holes. It's not too long either so suits a wide variety of golfersReviewer Rating

Excellent set up

Superb course
QDL North is as good as the south. Long walk around, would recommend a buggy although a bit pricey. Some great holes. Greens true and fast, very tricky. Great clubhouse and facilities, a must play if in the Algarve.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 85 Handicap: 5.6)

Lovely course and set-up. We hired clubs which were all brand new Taylor made, the only slight negative is that the greens were very sandy.
