course is brilliant only downside were Course starters and Marshalls worrying about alleged slow play when no one was being held up.

A Championship course mmmmmmmmmm! Not sure. A lot of holes just straight, course not much character. When I played, greens had been top dressed and spiked, so they were not really true. When 'dressed up' for a championship though it probably looks and plays better

5 star hotel and a great golfing location. Three courses, Championship (Henry Cotton), Resort and the Academy. Quite a flat course for the area but not easy. Great practice facilities, grass driving range, pitching/chipping area and a couple of putting greens. Well worth a visit if you are near enough to get there.

Played this course mid-September 2011. Without doubt one of the most enjoyable days of golf I have had. Paid Euro50 to play a twilight round (after 3o/c) - fantastic value. Some wonderful holes - notably the 5th, 12th and 13th.

As said previous what you expect from a championship course in outstanding condition when we played it in May going back in November and will playing again if only our championship quality courses over here offered the same value for money we would all be greatful but a must play if you want to experince what the pro's play at less than £75 on a pre booked tee time site

Excellent holiday. Managed to get a good deal including free golf onthe championship course each day of the 7 night stay. Can't fault the staff as they couldn't do enough to help. I would advise hiring a car as it is right on the motorway though taxi to local town is only around 10 Euros.
The course is what you would expect for one that has hosted numerous european tour events. In excellent condition and challenging especially if you are a little wayward from the tee. The 13th hole is a fantastic hole, 200 yards from an elevated tee to an island green with only a good shot making it. Definately a must play if in the Algarve.

If you have the oportunity i would highly recomend playing this course. We played the championship course and it was great. The hole course was immaculate. The only down side was the mozzies so make sure you use plenty of repelant as the course is made on drained swamp land

Had to play the resrt course as I didn't have a handicap certificate so couldn't get on the championship course. It's 9 holes with 18 tees - a decent test an helpsvery much if you get your tee bal on the fairway.

Despite heavy rain on the morning of this round course was in very condition. Some areas of the course are looking worn now but the greens are very receptive.

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous! This is the 3rd time our Society has visited and has never yet failed to impress. From the moment we arrived till we left the treatment & golf was 5 star throughout. Course layout really good and par threes that are SI 7,9,11 & 14 so good medium irons required from the tee; strategic risk & reward holes too with some long par 4 holes that require good course management if slightly wayward off the tee. Well mature as you would expect and with the backdrop of the Meridien hotel this only encapsulated our enjoyment further. Please, please go you will not be disappointed!
