Great Course

Tried Penina for first time, quite impressed. Course in great condition, green very true. Some great holes like par 3 13th over water and par 5 18th back towards the resort hotel. Buggy was included in price but decided to walk it with trolleys as quite flat course. Definately worth a game if in the area.

The sir henry cotton championship course is a must to play can be testing but very satisfying

Beautiful course attached to a luxury hotel. This is a long hard course for a 20 handicapper. It was in very good condition and was a very fair test of golf.
On the day we played the course was heavily overcrowded. We arrived about 10 minutes early for our tee time but were in a long queue waiting to go.
On arrival at the course we had been asked to prove our handicaps. Nothing wrong with that. However, the group in front of us were clearly not golfers (or were having the day from hell); one of them taking 4 shots to get more than 50 yards from the tee, and another not much better. I can only assume that handicaps aren't a universal requirement. It was a long day.
That said, the sun was shining, the company was good, I was on holiday rather than in work, and I like the course so much I would be happy to return and play it again.
For a non-resident, food and drink was expensive, but the breakfast, in particular, was delicious.
