good course-value for money
I visited this course in December ,winter greens. It is a well laid out course with a good variety of holes. It is a flat parkland type layout so is very accessible for older golfers.Well worth a visit.

Great layout and value for money
This is a top course and great fun. Have played and enjoyed it a few times this year and can see that the new owners are investing in it. Only minus is that it can get boggy after rain.Reviewer Rating

condition of greens
Most of the greens had handfulls of sand just strewn about willy nilly making putting very difficult, dont expect to need a sand wedge on a green.(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 104 Handicap: 31.4)

Great Course
Course was in good condition given the weather, couple of temporary greens and tees, but only charged winter rates. This is one of my favourite courses in County Durham and well worth a visit.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 82 Handicap: 12.3)

Lovely Course
One of my favourite courses in County Durham. Some great holes, with some serious water hazards. Strategic golf, not just a driver off the tee. Definitely worth playing, and a great clubhouse.(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 89 Handicap: 13.2)

Played on a blowy but sunny Friday at 2pm. Course was empty and great value for £17. Didn't use the facilities hence why just good. This course is the closest we have to a championship course without paying silly money. A real test with multiple tricky and demanding holes! A hard and testing round. Highly recommended.

Quite forgiving with wide fairways so will suit all level of golfers.
Downside being the course was wet in places and one hole closed but all in all i enjoyed it and would like to try it in summer as I'm certain it will play much better as most courses do.
