Pretty outstanding greens and location
Good greens - the best in the area by far. Fairways were well mown and this is a very pretty course and location to be in. The bar area and staff were very friendly and smiley for refreshments. Lots of rooms and accomodation on site and nearby if you are visiting as a group.Reviewer Rating

Lovely course for golfers of all levels
It was a soggy fest yesterday but nothing water proof wear and good shoes couldn't withstand. Its a soggy fest this time of year anywhere with the current weather. Yet the high Standards were still to be seen at the Windmill golf course - fairway lush, greens challenging but fair. The food was great especially the meal provided in the upstairs restaurant. Cellar bar and restaurant staff were all very polite and friendly and very helpful all round. Highly recommend this venue for a weekend or for a fleeting visit.Reviewer Rating

Beautiful golf course
A lovely well looked after golf course just off the A45 going towards Meriden. It opens with 3 par 3 holes causing some to judge that it's is not long but although it can be said you can play it without having to use a driver it is not easy. Anyone who call it easy can play and prove me wrong. As I know you will not pass all of the tests which this golf course will throw at you. Trees and bunkers in places where you pull or push your shot. Get them wrong and you will not reach the greens. Lakes and ponds will swallow your golf ball up if you don't get your best shots in. Not to mention out of bounds at holes 4 12 -16 wow. Play as a society or pop in if you are nearby. Its friendly and open to visitors. The staff are great and the hotel, leisure facilities and cellar bar are second to none if you want to try them too.Reviewer Rating

Great Course lovely all round honest
Brilliant setting hotel, golf, leisure and entertainment on site or nearby. The course is well kept and cared for by a dedicated team of experienced workers. It is not the longest but is a real good place to play golf. 3 short par 3's to start with followed by a testing bunker surrounded par 4. Then it carries on...see the pro's info on this. The staff are helpful and friendly and it is a real nice place to hang out...Fully recommended.Reviewer Rating

Shortish challenging well looked after test of golf
I have been playing this course since 1996 and love golf and the Windmill. I love the 3 par 3's to begin with. It's hard to beat the course. Today i was 10 over and played like a bandit. I dare you to try. This venue does excellent service as it is a hotel and is set up for corporate societies weddings and members. The course is great with a mixture of hidden bunkers, trrees, ditches, streams and lakes to get over. You have to manage your shots. The fairways are lush and the green are a real test of putting. Quick and to be feared. I dare you to try them and you will be back time and time again !!!(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 80 Handicap: 15.3)

Short but sweet!

This course is always in excellent condition, the fairways and greens are always well prepared, the greens have some interesting slopes and shapes which are very challenging and usually quite fast

Beautiful parkland course
Starts with 3 par three but don't let that put you off unless you can par all 3. This is my favourite course with a signature 12th hole which calls for accuracy. There is water, ditches, bunkers, and out of bounds that make you plan and think and that's true for the whole course. Either way it's a fun course which comes highly recommended and will be ideal for individuals or a society outing. There is a brilliant hotel and restaurant attached. worth trying these greens on a Sculptured Parkland Course
An excellent golf course to suit all standards of golfers. Friendly and welcoming. Very lush and well cared for with fairways, lakes, ditches, trees, out of bounds, rough and bunkers to test your course management and judgement. Great for a weekend group as you will get special rates at this hotel based course so top quality food,swimming pool,sauna and pampering is there if want that. Within a taxi ride of the city centre so what are you waiting for.(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 86 Handicap: 17.4)

A brilliant golf club for all levels of players.
This is a brilliant parkland course which offers a nice test of golf, the greens are the best in the area without doubt. Deceptive course
Don't be fooled by 3 par 3 opening holes. This is a course that can bite you in the nether regions if you don't have your wits about you. Lots of ditches and water and some tight fairways. Great test for your putting and short game
Played 2.07.17 and really enjoyed this course. The greens and course in general is immaculate. The fairways are well defined and for a society this course is a dream. Has excellent hotel facilities, the city centre is not far away for a bit of culture or for socialising. Close to the NEC and motor cycle museum. Staff at the Windmill are friendly and the food is first class.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 92 Handicap: 18.4)

The course is challenging and starting with 3 Par 3's uphill and downhill! The greens are large, fast. beautifully managed but many are sloping and difficult to read. There is water to avoid and plenty of bunkers, all well kept with good sand.
Overall I was very impressed with the course - it was well managed in very good condition for a public course.
