Course in good condition after last few days of heavy rain. Tricky course playing into a strong wind. Will certainly play here again.

Very good course with greens always in very great condition due to drainage. Staff in shop very friendly and helpful, green fees very reasonable and visitors pay a day rate. If playing at reduced rate times offers excellent value. The course is very open and exposed so can be difficult when the wind blows, but is very fair to all golfers. Being on the north east coast make sure you have attire to suit all weathers.
Overall, well worth a visit.

Lovely course

Haven't played for a while, and there have been a few changes. Firstly the bunkers have been slightly altered and new sand installed. Personally I thought there was a bit too much sand in the greenside bunker at the 12th, as I struggled to get a stance, but I know bunkers can divide opinion a little. The last 5 holes have changed routing as well, with the old 15th now being the 17th and the 17th now the 15th. This allows a new elevated tee box on the 16th par 3. This is certainly spectacular, but the new routing did cause some confusion and some bunching up, as the teeing areas and rough adjacent to the two par 4 fairways are quite close. There was always a potential for this, and maybe things will settle down, but did throw us a bit. Also for ladies, the exit from the new 17th green takes you up on the hill where the gents tees are for the 18th, but the normal red tees are in their original place. This means that any women players have to walk up and back down the hill to get to their tees. Still enjoyed the course, and staff and members are really friendly. So, all good fun, just need to get used to the re-routing at the end.
