What The Club Says
At 6222 yards, the course provides a fair test of golf for players of all abilities. The course is noted for its fine greens, easy walking and magnificent views all round, particularly over the Tyne estuary, north to the Cheviot hills and south over Wearside to the Cleveland Hills.
The course seldom closes due to excellent drainage through the limestone base on which it is built, ensuring good conditions underfoot throughout the year.

Braid/MacKenzie - some cracking holes
It's a bit uppy-downy the first 4 holes then it startsto add some character, especially around the turn, when you get that true feeling of MacKenzie bunkering and greens with mad drop offs.For £25 after 2pm on a weekday, this is great value. Greens nice, fairways great - it's got sandy/links roots (whitburn is right behind it).

Great course & great staff

Best winter course in the north east
When others are closd or had restrictions in place the course was firm, all greens in play, normal tee boxes and no restrictions on buggy or trolly use.Reviewer Rating

Excellent course, in exceptional condition
