Really nice course to play. A decent test without being overly demanding In good condition with well kept greens the clubhouse and pro shop staff were all very friendly and very helpful. An absolute bargain with some of the deals around that include a round of golf and bacon role. Hope to be back soon.

First consider the cost of the round, Amazing value on a Tuesday and was told by the pro also on a Thursday\Greens improved tremendously since first visit many years ago. All staff welcoming plus we encountered many helpful members who didn\'t have an attitude towards paying players.\Course is relatively flat and shortish, but had excellent fairways and a few water hazards.\Will become a regular venue for our group\\38 points 18 hcp played 26th May 2015

I cannot understand those negative reviews .. must be from people more familiar with manicured American-style courses. Wheathill maybe be shortish but for those of us who like a challenge (ie REAL golf!) it is a really enjoyable course with some unexpected hazards and yes, a bit of rough too! Just as it should be... even enjoyed it in the light rain on Wednesday.

Score reflects that all greens were being sand treated but fees were half price, very good value considering. Very friendly, had a great day.

First time out on a "proper" course. A good learning experience; reasonably forgiving to a novice.

We played Wheathill today and was quite worried about some of the adverse reviews posted. We really enjoyed our round, the fairways were fine, greens good, so give it a try. We'll done guys, a really enjoyable course, very friendly members. Thank you for a good day.

Disappointing course. I have played this course many times over the years but unfortunately it gets worse each time. The greens are poor, I can't believe that they still have hollow tines when I assume these must have been done in the summer, they are also a lot worse than they used to be. The bunkers are a joke with different sand (if you can call it that it's more like the left overs from the tining) in each and very little in some and the Tees, Fairways, Fringes, Greens and Rough are full of weeds and more clover than grass. This is a real shame how the course has deteriated over the years however it was never very good to start with it almost seems as if they have run out of money or the head of greens is unwilling to spend any. The clubhouse is a very ugly barn with cracked tiles in the changing rooms and dirty carpets. In addition to this a few members we're less than helpful demanding to play through when we were being held up ourselves. It is a real shame as his once good club seems to be going downhill fast. I have been considering joining as a members but have since changed my mind.

Please avoid this course. I played this course a few weeks ago. After being promised a great day out by the club pro. Turned out to be the worst club i have ever known exists. This course is a complete joke.

This has to be the worst golf course in somerset. I booked a tee time just to find that i had been delayed by 1 hour so that a society could go out, without telling me. When i was eventually on the course the fairway was incredibly patch and in dreadful condition the fairways were more clover that grass and where the same height as standard rough. If you hit the ball if the fairway by 2 yards you will find yourself in 4 foot high rough with a guarantee of a lost ball. Please. Please Do Not Play this course. It is dreadful!!

This is defiantly a club to avoid. Ploughed field with a flag at either end. They should pay you to play. Never seen a course this bad. The holes are in dreadful condition all of them are squared. The rough is unplayable. Need I continue.
