West Middlesex Golf Club is setback in an urban jungle but that does not takeaway the brilliance of the course itself. It gets you thinking and the firm ground can often catch you out. I over-clubbed a few early on and paid the price; a nine on the par 5 first. The place was empty and I never felt rushed at any point giving me the chance to think. The greens are slick, fairways undulated and the rough punishing in areas. A lot of blind tee shots some with little space for working the ball. A brilliant Golf Club and I would hope to play it again some time soon!

With the recent winter rains and the freshly dressed greens, I'm pretty sure that I didn't see the course at its best. That said, the course was well worth playing.

There are a few tee shots where you could do with a hole guide, just to give you an idea of where to play it, but that's a small criticism. There are a number of really good looking holes, and with one or two exceptions it's reasonably generous from the tees.

What a little gem, quirky little course, not the longest but tricky enough with plenty of dog legs and blind holes. Greens were excellent, fairways were good and pace of play was ok.

played on 01 feb 2014, so heavy rain, lots of temporary greens and closed holes - but can see the value in the course if fully functional and will most certainly play again once course and weather is dried up.

Given the amount of rain we've had recently the course was in excellent condition, Fantastic golf course which we will be returning to, a good challenge but fair to all levels of golfer.

The greens are very good; fast, true and receptive, there will be courses that don't have greens this good in the summer, let alone in October. The fairways on the early holes are rather tired and need to grow through. Interestingly the fairways on the last 5 holes are in very good condition. The layout is interesting, not too difficult, but enough to make you think and make some decisions. If you haven't played here you should, it is good value for the money.
PS Keep an eye out for the Wembley Arch.

I have been playing this course for a few years now. It is definitely the best lay-out in the local area. I believe that it was originally laid out by James Braid, and the brilliance of the man really stands out.

I particularly enjoyed the six par threes, the shortest was 165 yards long, and that is the secret of this gem, every club in the bag is used.

I played it recently in wety December and it was exceptionally dry underfoot and the geens were all on and excellent for this time of year.

We even had a few beers and a bite to eat in the very welcoming bar afterwards. All in all a great day out, we'll be back

I have played this course at various times of the year and every time it plays different, it is not a public course as previously stated but the public can play on certain days. Great course and very friendly members...think I'll join in the not too distant future!

Brilliant course, some of the hole designs made it a very enjoyable day.
The tees and greens were in fantastic condition, and I had no complaints about the fariways.

The only complaint was that the bunkers were a little short of sand.

Free drink in the clubhouse after the round was a nice touch.

Well maintained course

A well manicured course, the greens and tee boxes were immaculate. Good range of challenging holes would definitely come back. If there was something to critique it would be the layout and having to cross a main road twice but that should not deter you from playing here.
