This course is a great hidden gem - not pretentious and with some great holes and in super condition.
I personally love the third, a Par 4 of 297 yards with no bunkers - a walk in the park. Think again a tiny table-top green where a 4 is a good score. Try it on a Monday or Wednesday where there is a deal on at the moment.

West Middlesex is a great James Braid layout with lots of interesting holes that asks lots of questions from you.\Pars 3s are very challenging but it is a course that I never grow tired of playing.\If you get a chance to play this course grab it with both hands.\Clubhouse and members very friendly.

I was a member here for over 30 years and went back with a pal to play it in August,I have to say that it is still one of the best most underrated layouts in middx,a true enjoyable course, admitably you do need to play it a few times to know where to hit your shots.it was in the best condition I can ever remember it,the head green keeper is doing a fabulous job,I'll be back soon

West Middlesex Golf Club is setback in an urban jungle but that does not takeaway the brilliance of the course itself. It gets you thinking and the firm ground can often catch you out. I over-clubbed a few early on and paid the price; a nine on the par 5 first. The place was empty and I never felt rushed at any point giving me the chance to think. The greens are slick, fairways undulated and the rough punishing in areas. A lot of blind tee shots some with little space for working the ball. A brilliant Golf Club and I would hope to play it again some time soon!

Played here yesterday; £35 for unlimited golf on a midweek day.
Pros: - Excellent value for money, well maintained track, good quality bunkering, fast (in places v fast) greens.
- Course has a good mix of driving holes, par 5s, reachable par 4s and a host of par 3's. Plenty of challenge abounds; some tough bunkers to get stuck in, difficult rough and tight tee shots to contend with. That said, I played pretty much to handicap and felt that for most of the holes I was in with a chance.
- Members very friendly, several made a point of asking if i enjoyed my round, felt somewhere I would be made v welcome as a member
- Bar food and pricing excellent. Good ingredients, friendly bar staff, Sky TV, all very positive indeed.
- Felt like I was in a nature reserve. Yes, you do have to cross a main road twice and there are a few flats in the eyeline; but for 90% of the time it feels like you've ended up in a remote woodland somewhere, very peaceful and lots of rabbits/wildlife about.

Only con: A few holes are a little close together and so balls flying across the fairways/criss-cross players can be a little unrelaxing.

Overall a friendly, welcoming, great value track

What a little gem, quirky little course, not the longest but tricky enough with plenty of dog legs and blind holes. Greens were excellent, fairways were good and pace of play was ok.

I have been playing this course for a few years now. It is definitely the best lay-out in the local area. I believe that it was originally laid out by James Braid, and the brilliance of the man really stands out.

I particularly enjoyed the six par threes, the shortest was 165 yards long, and that is the secret of this gem, every club in the bag is used.

I played it recently in wety December and it was exceptionally dry underfoot and the geens were all on and excellent for this time of year.

We even had a few beers and a bite to eat in the very welcoming bar afterwards. All in all a great day out, we'll be back
