Worth another visit
Good course, the fairways and greens were well maintained for the time of the year. I would definitely want to play it again as I am sure the conditions would be even better in the good weather.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 87 Handicap: )

Great course, fantastic lay out. A real challenge for all standards of golfers. If you play to your handicap here you’ve played well. If a member, your handicap will stand true on 90% of courses you play.Lovely to see the green staff out on the course working hard clearing trees and generally tidying the course up after a long winter.
Greens in great condition considering recent weather and from experience become very fast and true throughout the summer.
Lovely practice putting green and nets as expected with nice down to earth members.
Green fees and membership are excellent. Offers available not to be missed.
Will either join or visit regularly again.

I used to be a member here in the mid-2000's; circumstances meant the membership and my golfing lapsed. So I know the course from those days.
It's a fine, tight track and pretty testing. The greens - though pretty slow - were smooth, consistent, and deeply flattering to my short game. Fairways had some small muddy patches, but that's to be expected at this time of year. Generally the course drains pretty well.
It's not a course that encourages you to let rip with the driver. Though there are some holes where the big stick can get a workout, there are more where a premium is placed on accuracy. Several holes are a real "thinking" challenge; simply hitting the ball as far as you can off the tee then working out the next shot will get you in trouble.
Notable holes:
The par 3 second. It's a mid/long Par 3, with the green slightly higher than the tee. If the course sloped gently up, it'd be easy - but the crater/chasm in front of the tee plays havoc with the mind.
The 3rd; a short par 4 with a big risk/reward tee shot. Thread a ball through a gap 180 yards distant and you have a short pitch to the green; lay up and it's a blind wedge/short iron.
The 9th - par 4 dogleg. It's all about getting a decent angle for the second shot through a tight avenue of trees to a well-protected green. And the terrain you have to land your ball in is links-style rolling turf, invisible from the tee.
13th - long par 4, S.I.1. To play it as a two-shotter, you have to drive over trees and OOB to a blind fairway; a fade would be useful. If you go for three shots, you can still score; the raised green at the end is pretty benign.
17th - par 5. An S-shaped hole with a downhill tee shot. The aggressive play from the tee is blind again, over a thick wood. The fairway is in a lovely little valley, with the River Brent hidden by trees on the left. I've never known the river come into play; take away a few trees, make it visible, and I'd bet it would....
18th - par 4. Tee boxes well back from the fairway, and you have to find the right spot on the fairway to open up the dogleg left to the green.
It's in a pretty urban location, with a small tower block overlooking the 13th, and the sounds of roads, the train line to the West Country, and a distant Heathrow are a constant. That said, it's appealingly bucolic in places, with decent mature woods and a lively little lake. From some points on the course, the views across the Brent Valley could almost be out in the countryside.
