I had a shocker but this is a great course in it's own right and a noticeable uptick in the maintenance of the course since they've added the new driving range; well cut fairways and well maintained greens. Rough left slightly longer to penalise straying from the fairway. Played at 2pm on a sunny Friday which qualified as a twilight and just £12 which is ridiculously cheap. Only negative was the amount of patrons sporting jeans which didn't seem necessary.

The course is long and wide, with plenty of open spaces to test any golfer. It is a lovely developed course in many ways with some nice awkward bunker shots to challenge any golfer. Wonderful day had by all.

Our group of 24 from Essex decided to go up early for our annual weekend to Toft and play a different course on the way.I can only say WOW because this is classed as a pay and play but it puts most private courses to shame.Would we go back next year OH YES.You may think the first hole (par 3) a boring start but this just hides a real gem of a challenge

Thorpe wood is a great course and one of the best value public courses around. The holes are fairly open so don’t punish a poor drive by more than 1 shot. You can usually finish the course with the ball you started with which is rewarding in itself! The course is fairly long however the open fairways usually allow you to use the driver regularly. The only downside of Thorpe wood is that being a public course, the greens tend to get a lot of punishment so they tend to be kept of the slow side.

Im am a huge lover of this course and so far this year it has never let me down, if anything my golf has not done this course justice. The fairways are tidy and neat, as for the greens they are true, fast and just perfect. FANTASTIC

Played in the 1st week of march and once again this course was in very good shape from the tee to the fairway and the greens you will not find a better course for the money anywhere in the uk and luckily for me it's right next door.

First time playing at this course, and was amazed as to the high standard of the greens and fairways, possibly the best looking and challenging course i have played within the cambridgeshire and northamptonshire area.

Simply a beautiful course to play

Simply a beautiful course to play and visit. The course for the conditions was in very good condition with the one exception hole but didn't distract from a great day. Fantastic greens, great tees and 17 fairways in tip top condition. Friendly staff, well stocked shop and a decent clubhouse serving lovely food. The only criticism is they haven't moved on from covid and still only card payment only. Not suitable for all and not for me, shame.
