nice course
Good test although is pretty open , a good selection of different holes and outlooks. Greens had been recently dressed so needed some rain as were a bit sandy, but true and otherwise in good condition ( still quite quick )Reviewer Rating

Good Course A++++++
Played with a few mates just before the lockdown, despite being very wet in places the course was generally good. The welcome was good, it felt well organised and Covid measures in place which was reassuring. The bar was offering takeaways snacks and drinks which was good and needed on a cold morning. I played the Bristol where my friends are members and it was not in as good as condition and the welcome was poor. I look forward to returning.Reviewer Rating

Course in great condition, but very windy
Our golf society played here last year and returned because all enjoyed the couse.This year the couse was in great condition, with fairways and greens recently mowed. The greens played well and were very receptive due to heavy rain the day before. Bunkers were not raked due to COVID restrictions, so we played 'pick and place' in the bunkers. As mentioned above, it was very windy, but it didn't rain, so we all had a very enjoyable round. Food after golf was good served by friendly staff.Reviewer Rating

Been a few years since I played here and the course has matured nicely. Greens were true and bunkers contained "good" sand so able to work out reasonably well. Definitely return.

Huge Greens
enjoyed a knock around this track. Greens are massive so be prepared for some long putts. Course in good condition and a mixture of holes make for an interesting round.Reviewer Rating

Better and better!
I love playing here and having a beer afterwards. the clubhouse is smart and not like traditional clubhouses which are dated and old school. The course is in great condition too and always makes for an enjoyable round of golf. Hats off the greenkeepers and management as they are doing a great job around.Reviewer Rating

Nice course a
See my previous review for a more I depth review of the course and what it is like. For £ 15 per round after 4pm is good value but there are much nicer courses with better greens for what Thornbury charges. The greens have been top dressed and were a little bumpy.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 16)
