Lovely friendly course
Great course in Bristol we were up there to play the Players and Chipping Sudbury but this was one of my favourites. Greens were true and staff very friendly. Course management critical if you want to keep the score down.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 86 Handicap: 17.2)

lovely coarse
nice coarse,mostly flat.19th hole closed at 9pm,not good.Had £2 deposit on my golf trolly and was told the club would be open late

I have played regularly at Thornbury Golf Centre over several years, and I have always found it to be a fabulous course....particularly bearing in mind the price. Everything is immaculate (although the bunkers could do with more sand in them).

Nice Course
A very enjoyable and well maintained course. A very nice layout which is fair to all golfers of all abilities. The golf shop team were efficient upon checking as were the bar team after our round. We had food of the specials which i must say were very good and excellent value. We are due to return with a society later in the year but hopefully will play again before our trip.Reviewer Rating

I played the course yesterday afternoon, the course was in amazing condition as i believe the club championship was taking place. Credit to the greenkeepers they are doing a great job. Service and food in the bar is always good and i have recommended to a few mates.Reviewer Rating

A fair course which offers a challenge to the higher handicap golfer but doesn't punish them. Greens are in excellent condition as are the fairways.

Played the both the par 3 and main 18 course during the day, both courses in great condition so early in the year. Food and hospitality great and a well stocked pro shop.

Great golf day
We have used Thornbury twice in March & September both times the course has been in great condition. We are a variable ability group & find Thornbury really works, we love the added bonus of the 18 hole par 3 to kick things off in the morning. Friendly, helpful staff & excellent valueReviewer Rating

Grew up playing here
Thornbury's Marlwood course is a fair course.It can be a little overpriced at times but does good afternoon and twilight rates. The back 9 are more interesting than the front as there are three holes where lakes play a part. The 17th is particularly tricky.
The course is in good condition and I would consider this a good course for high and mid handicappers. They have tried tinkering with a couple of holes to give the big hitters less on an advantages such a making a ditch around 250 yards across the 15th which is a long par 5. The course has an ok mix of holes, four par 3s and three par 5s with the rest being varying length par 4s.
The club has good facilities putting green, driving range, bar and a par 3 course. The Marlwood course is worth a visit and if you live in Thornbury it is convenient, however I can't decide if other local courses are more interesting or I'm bored of the course as I learnt to play there as a teenager. I will leave it up to you to decide. Also see my more in depth review which I posted in Feb 2016.
