Played the King's course which was nice, especially the front nine was quite challenging and back nine having some nice holes as well. Unfortunately the overcrowded course kind of ruined it and any won't even consider joining the club anymore. Sending groups of 4 out every 4 minutes is just ridiculous, total time over 5,5 hours. Go during the week or after 3pm and it might be ok.

Great facility at The Warwickshire. The Earls Course has some tight tree lined holes, a number of holes with water hazards but also some more open holes. Today the course played well, with some very long, punishing rough, so really needed to keep the ball straight.

Course is excellent - very challanging and long course so is an advantage to be able to hit your long irons/hybrids.

Tight in places, rough very long and easy to loose a ball if you don't stay on the fairway..

Earls course is fantastic. There is somthing for all. Whilst high handicapers will start to panic, a calm approach is required. The best way to get around is not to be too greedy. Keep calm and keep it down the middle couldn't be better said. There are some big par 5's, and par 4's, but all-in-all, agreat course.

Very long course, even off the yellows, but a good challenge. Bought a stroke saver which proved very useful. Bunkers were well kept. Greens were quite slow and recently scarified. Biggest problem was the rough, as we played straight after a prolonged period of rain, so the greenkeepers couldn't keep the rough to a reasonable depth. Any ball off the fairway was in danger of never being seen again!

Played the Kings on 16th April and enjoyed the layout. Greens had just been slit which didnt help putting, but I suspect that they would devleop into good surfaces as the season progressed. Long walk and not the quickest round ive had, but thats what you get on a corporate facility such as this. Very open, so no premium for accuracy, suits long hitters. The Earls is likely to be better from this perspective so looking forward to playing this in May. Paid £20 for this round and to be honest that was probably about right, I wouldnt like to pay much more for a round here. As for some of the other reviews stating this is the best in Warwickshire, I think not, but a decent course all the same

the Kings course is a good test for medium handicap golfers. the 150 yd markers are mostly reachable by a good drive from the yellow tees. the course is very user friendly with rough that can be played out of and excellent fairways and greens.

The Crown Golf Society took 28 members to the Warwickshire 26th March 2011. We all played The Kings Course. A tough course, long walks, I ache like hell now. Not many high scores, with only 1 player under par. A decent track & a good test although very long in places. Greens not so good & inconsistent in places. Not clear directions to each hole at times. But overall I do recommend this course if you fancy a good test & a bloody long walk!!

The Earls, a lovely course

A really lovely mature course. Although wet underfoot, it played really well. Superb challenge.

Sort the tee boxes

Most of the tee boxes are like upturned boats. What must be such a simple fix is clearly beyond the average greenkeeper here. Huge tee boxes with plenty of scope to partly close some and still have lots of room for regular play.

Which there is a lot of. From the moment you get there it’s very clear that this is.high volume course. Members saying they can’t get a teetime because of the number is societies and corporate days. There are much better course about that actually fee like a golf club. It cannot possibly be managed by anyone with an interest in golf.
