Well worth a round
I had a bit of a bad round, where as I could not for the life of me judge the speed of the Greens, they were in good condition but seemed very slow, I can only remember putting past a hole once in the whole round. Congratulations though to the Shropshire for the deal they were offering. Tee off after 1400 on Saturday or Sunday and two players with a buggy only cost £62 even for visitors like my Wife and I.Reviewer Rating

Worth a Visit
It was a hot day with no Sun and my Husband and I both struggled as the greens were a lot slower than we are used to. Unfortunately there was a wedding reception going on at the club house, which has an outdoor Marquee where a live band was playing with gusto, So towards the end of are round it was a little difficult to concentrate, but saying that everything else was OK.Reviewer Rating

A really well kept course
I've played the Shropshire many times, on Blue, Silver & Gold. The course is always in good to excellent condition come winter or summer. The club tend to have strong pin positions, particularly on the par 3s offering a good shot to reward a birdie. The par 5 9th on Silver is one of the best finishing holes I've played, particularly for the lower/longer hitting handicapper. It takes a great 2nd shot to hit a very small green that is heavily protected on the right with water and has a tree in the way on the left blocking a wayward fade shot. Risk or reward at it's best!Only concern for me on my recent visit was being held to a strict 2 hour 9 hole round whilst playing medal in a mixed ability society otherwise we would have missed our back 9 tee times and been held in between another group. This added unnecessary pressure caused by the course cramming in tee times a little tight. As the opening group we made it round the first 9 holes in 1hr 40mins but we were conscious of time, rushed a little more than normal so it took a bit of shine off the round.

Great golf day
Played the Shropshire for the first time on a group golf day. Bacon/coffee and 27 holes for ?31.50 was great value.Pro shop, bar staff and most of the members were welcoming. (Slight issue with a group behind being a bit rude about pace of play when we were all three balls and took less than 4 hours to get round 18).
That aside it was a great day, scorching weather but the course was well watered and the tees, fairways, greens and bunkers were all in very good condition. The greens were very quick which made it testing.
Nice variety of holes with water hazards and dog legs. Fairly long but not too hilly. Great to have three different loops of nine. Would definitely return for another round.
