Wonderful test of golf. Horribly difficult - do not be fooled by the yardage, as the wind (which WILL be there!) makes such a difference. Golf as it should be played - blind shots, scary greens and wonderfully welcoming members make for an absolute treat. Don't go if you want drop and stop, target golf but do if you love links golf and are looking for a superb test of every club in your bag. I loved it.

A mixed review

Mixed feelings after visiting Tenby this week. The course was generally unkept in many areas, particularly the tees and fairways. Its obviously attracted a lot of visitors recently and heavy use has led to fairways full of divot marks.

The greens however are excellent. Fast and true.

There are a lot of blind shots and narrow fairways which can be a challenge, however the course is generally very short. There are a 2-3 par 4's under 300 yards and a couple of very short par 5's around or under the 400 yard mark. I'm a 14 handicapper and was able to reach these using 2 iron shots...

General feedback from the group was that the course needed some tlc but the greens were excellent. Unfortunately, I won't be back to play it any time soon.

I'd read it was a tough course to play and it proved to be the case. Lucky enough i played on a calm day. A lot of blind shots which when i play again i hope to be ready for.

Tenby Senior open 1330 tee.

Old established links course in the dunes, half a mile from the town centre. Nice sunny day not too hot, little breeze. Very Welcome and on the tee with 2 fellas from Morlais Castle who knew their way around. Extremely undulating course with large borrows and narrow fairways, so local knowledge is a must as most shots are 'blind'. Nice true Greens, fast and not too undulating. Walking off each hole you feel 'how did I get from there to there to there !!'. Not the sort of course where you can 'chase' the ball along and views of greens and wind limit 'throwing it up in the air'. a frustrating experience.

A fantastic course in very good condition. Not for a high handicap player as the wind and rough can be a card wrecker . Lovely Dormy rooms and great food and the holiday town is just a stroll up the hill . A round here and then a trip to Ashburnham would be as good as some of the overpriced courses in Ireland and you still have money for another trip.

Amazing course the best scenery I have ever seen so far on a golf course. Played on a hot sunny day . Had a great score also . Loved it
Apart from some old women on last 3 holes that wouldn’t let me through I was a one ball

Can't score well here first time of playing. Hit a ball straight in one of the many blind shots & you're likelier to lose it. That said, it's a great links course & immaculate greens but could be a while before returning sadly. When the clubhouse opens it will be a different case entirely
