What the club says: Still regularly used for Major Amateur Championships, Tenby's tight fairways, fast-running greens and thick rough combine to provide an endlessly varied challenge. The course runs alongside Tenby South Beach and, whilst this makes for spectacular views, it also means the course is exposed to the elements - a strong gusting wind makes this a great test for golfers of all abilities.

Well worth visiting

Have visited Tenby a couple of times in the last few months as the stay and play deals are fantastic value.
Personally I think the course is great and a real taste. The friendly atmosphere and glorious surroundings make it well worth the trip.
I will definitely be going back.

Mr

Played, with a friend, on a calm, windless day in early November. To say the course is challenging is an understatement. Lots of blind shots and carries over hills and mounds. Narrow, undulating fairways makes every shot a challenge. Perhaps because of the time of year the greens were a tad bobbly which was a shame. Deep pot bunkers not easy to escape from.

Tenby Senior open 1330 tee.

Old established links course in the dunes, half a mile from the town centre. Nice sunny day not too hot, little breeze. Very Welcome and on the tee with 2 fellas from Morlais Castle who knew their way around. Extremely undulating course with large borrows and narrow fairways, so local knowledge is a must as most shots are 'blind'. Nice true Greens, fast and not too undulating. Walking off each hole you feel 'how did I get from there to there to there !!'. Not the sort of course where you can 'chase' the ball along and views of greens and wind limit 'throwing it up in the air'. a frustrating experience.

The rough was up and the wind blowing. Friendly welcome from all but the greens were slow and bobbling

I love Tenby golf club

Gets better every time I play at Tenby. Traditional Links golf course, with amazing sea views, excellent greens. Staff are very friendly and food is superb.

Another enjoyable round at Tenby only spoilt by my poor golf! Unforgiving when wild off the tee. Greens in good condition for the time of the year. Looking forward to next visit.

A fantastic course in very good condition. Not for a high handicap player as the wind and rough can be a card wrecker . Lovely Dormy rooms and great food and the holiday town is just a stroll up the hill . A round here and then a trip to Ashburnham would be as good as some of the overpriced courses in Ireland and you still have money for another trip.

Wild wet but wind was down making the course scoreBle. Tees were quite forward, in comparison to the normal white tees.

The course is very challenging with a number of blind shots, narrow fairways and coastal winds to content with. A very enjoyable and picturesque round of golf.

Magnificent course that claims to be the oldest in Wales. First hole is played over a mound so its always good to place a spotter so that you can find your ball. The greens were recovering from misapplication of chemicals but still very playable although not pleasant on the eye. Flat links course affording some sea views and Tenby towering over the course . Good clubhouse facilities ,excellent food and a warm welcome. Pro shop very helpful.
