Great Value Course

Booked this course through Teetimes website for an amazing £10 for the round. On arrival the car park was very busy and I struggled to find a parking slot. The Pro shop was very welcoming and well stocked. My tee time was behind a 3 ball in buggies, who I thought would zoom ahead but were happy to let us through.

The course was surprisingly wet (I am used to a sand drained course), and I was surprised that there was no local clean and place rule in operation as I had mud balls on most holes. For a wet course, the greens were in excellent condition and the fastest I have ever played on, they were a credit to the greenkeeping staff.

The signature 8th hole was a joy to play, but I was impressed with the par 3 holes on the back 9, both were beautifully framed and fun to play.

Having stayed at a couple of QHotel complexes, we anticipated a meal at the end of the round, but the restaurant was closed until 6.30, some 90 minutes after we completed our round.

Overall, a great experience and one to repeat, hopefully the score will be better!
