Great views and fast round
Despite being very windy the course was still a pleasure to play. Fairways were dry, greens as quick as they could be without the wind blowing the ball and took a full shot. Friendly staff and great value for money in the clubhouse.(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 78 Handicap: 8.9)

Picturesque course
very picturesque course with great views of the surrounding area in the Cotswolds to the Bristol estuary. Facilities were good, friendly and welcoming. Course itself of good standard, with elements providing a particular challenge as the course is on top of a tor.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 105 Handicap: 28)

Didn't know about this tucked away gem.very forgiving for the not so talented golfer..bunkers placed nicely to keep the best players on their toes

Pretty much the same as my last review in May 2016. I will write about what is slightly different but it is still a top quality course with spectacular views.
The rough has now been cut and the balls are easier to find (which is ace but does take away some of the challenge away). I'm prone to hitting wayward shots from the tee and I normally get punished, but didn't today because I didn't have as many penalty shots.
The greens are rock hard and stopping the ball was problem, especially as with most of the course consists of long to medium par 4 holes, you want a club which will hit 150ish yards from a great height. However the greens are in great condition and putting on them is a delight.
A couple of the bunkers were slightly gravely where as some had very soft sand, so if you're capable of judging it you will be great.
I got the round for £15 which is certainly good value after 4pm but the web site is wanting to charge £17.50 which I would be less willing to pay for a round after 4pm. Keep an eye out for good deals as another local course does cheaper rounds for the same quality of course.

Two things to improve. T offs are uneven and almost all need some work, and some of the sand is flooring grit so if there has been rain it can be quite hard. But it is a lovely coarse with wonderful views, and very good greens. Also very good value

Played on a balmy Sunday evening and loved every minute of it! Truly spectacular views and a challenging enough course to compliment them. If the weather was bad, it would be very tough as its completely exposed. Great greens which helped me card my best round yet!!
