Nice course and in very good conditions-some very nice holes. Good option when the course is not busy. But let down severely by the round taking 4 hours and 50 minutes-painfully slow (would have taken us ~3hrs). Will probably avoid playing here on a weekend ever again. Also very, very dangerous in places with a few holes running back and forth (2 and 3; 14 and 15) and some tees well within range and out of sight from the tee of the hole before (eg 6th & 8 th tees).

The course was in good condition when we played. There were some interesting holes, the greens felt a bit linksy. The issue was that some holes - going up the hills are tough and the holes down the hill are very easy. Interesting to play once.

Popular Spot
1st time back since a round over summer when it was very busy. It was colder & damper & wetter underfoot but if anything even busier. Plenty of 4 balls never letting the 2 balls through. It is a Great course with varied holes but One to avoid until summer I feel because there were strong signs of mud off the fairways already on worn paths from all the traffic. That said the greens played well & the fairways holding up well too. No real ales or craft beer in the pavilion either but the Indian food is excellent. Something to look forward to.Reviewer Rating

Course was vey soft and wet not great playing conditions but it’s also a very very hilly course so beware at this time of year as it’s carry only, otherwise it’s a very enjoyable track.

Lots of hills

A tough course
if yr HC is 18 or less give it a go,, ive been on this course on and off for 20 yrs,, this is a demanding golf couse.. its very tight ,,yellows give you a chance .. whites are hard.. plays like 6000yd ++ .there are some v good holes 7th being always mentioned,,shame they cut the tree in the middle away but at least cleaned it up down the hill,Take anything from a 5 iron to driver and wack it..
you have to be very staight and think yr way round ...
