What The Club Says

There are three distinct ‘nines’ – the River, the Valley and the Lake. Lingering memories will be of demanding drives on the opening two holes of the River nine, and of two exhilarating par 3s: the ninth on the river, where the green is situated beyond a mature oak tree which guards a lake, and the second on the Lake Course, known as the Island Hole.
Singing Hills is regarded as one of the best courses in the area.

Enjoyable

The River is still a naughty little course. Fairways are dry, we need some rain. Always enjoyable to play at Singing Hills.

Well worth a visit

Despite its name this is an easy walking course. There are three nines at Singing Hills with a variety of interesting holes, not least the iconic second hole on the Lake with its island green. Many of the holes any tree lined but with enough fairway for those who are not too accurate. The greens rolled very well and the course was in very good condition (June).

Great Course

Course in excellent condition this year. Really enjoyable layout, challenging but not sadistic. You can go for some hero shots if you want or play safe. Good pace of play. Play here half a dozen times a year. Friendly pro shop and excellent bar/food.

Drainage much improved

The Club has evidently invested heavily in improving the drainage. We played (in the dry) following substantial rainfall the previous day. The tees and greens are in good condition. There was standing water in many bunkers but most of the fairways are much improved on previous years

Well worth a visit

An easy walking course just north of Brighton and Hove which is well worth a visit. It consists of three nines, each of which has it's own characteristics. Water on some holes, I especially like the island green on the Lake nine second hole. Good value for money and friendly atmosphere. My partner on the round was from Canada and said that she really enjoyed the course.

Definitely worth a visit

Always a pleasure to play here. Three nines means you can usually get a tee time even on busy days. Interesting holes on a course just outside of Brighton and Hove just north of the South Downs. Easy walking course in good condition (July). Took me a while to come to terms with the greens which were true running, but faster than I am used to with subtle breaks.

Green in the process of being topped

Valley closed but Lake a dn River open. Can feel the softness of the ground but no standing water. Bunker wet but playable. Tee boxes ok and definition of fairways not always plain to see. Some greens were airiated, 10th, 11th and 12th and others need to be done soon. Slow, not surprisingly. Overall good to be back and for a good price
