Fantastic Course
I'd seen a number of reviews that said that this was a course worth visiting, and the worry is always that it can't quite match expectation. That wasn't the case here. The only disappointment today was the way I played it.Tees, fairways and greens were in excellent condition, and the course has a lot of interesting and scenic holes to go with it. This isn't a flat course, so be prepared for a number of climbs, but it is worth the effort.
The fairways are mostly fairly forgiving, but there are a number of holes where par will be a very good score, and the course is certainly not a pushover.
My one tip, other than play here, is the big lake in front of the 11th green. I didn't see it until the same time my ball did.

ABSOLUTE GEM
We live very near and have never played the course before so deiced to do 36 holes Kevin the pro did question why 36 and after doing 36 i understand why.What a great course and people very friendly club nice to sit out and have a nice cool hand pulled local ale too.The course wasn't too difficult to follow the greens were large and in great condition,All the infrastructure was very tidy and well kept. Its a good test of all ability and a nice walk.

Superb course not far from M1
This is a real quality golf course. Beautiful views, stunning holes (especially when sunny) with pristine fairways and greens. Be prepared to climb some hills though!(Round played: Jul 2017)

First time I've ever played here and I'll definitely be back. £20 when it's a four ball and the course was great. Lots of thinking holes and risk and reward. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Just like to say thanks for a great day the breakfast was good the staff where very polite n very helpful the course is great it looks nice very well looked after the fair ways where good the bunkers where good plenty of sand in them the greens where good very good fast n true I cannot wait to play it again thanks again from the nags head golf society

Fantastic course in the heat of the Pennines over looking Emley moor. Hitting fair way key, amend your game and be prepared to leave the driver in the bag occasionally. If your ball is beyond the 1st cut you will be penalised. Greens stunning, quick, true with some really challenging borrows. 2 190+yds par 3s offer no respite!
