Course was in excellent condition and pro staff were very helpful with an error in booking. Members were very friendly and welcoming of visitors.

First time palyed and right onmy doorstep, why I've not been before I don't know, lovely club, friendly and welcoming staff and members, great greens for the time of the year, some challenging holes but very forgiving

A very challenging course, plays long when fairways are wet. Generally in very good condition especially the greens which are as good as I have seen, not for the unfit, the course is fairly hilly and hard to get round if carrying your bag.
A very fair test of golf, hit it long and straight is the secret, the rough can be penal.

Fantastic course in the heat of the Pennines over looking Emley moor. Hitting fair way key, amend your game and be prepared to leave the driver in the bag occasionally. If your ball is beyond the 1st cut you will be penalised. Greens stunning, quick, true with some really challenging borrows. 2 190+yds par 3s offer no respite!

The course was very well kept and the greens were true and in mint condition. The rough though was unforgiving . Once you were in it it was lost ball.
