The Greens are pretty poor but no more than you would expect at £8 per round of nine. No major Hazards other than a stream running through the middle and some long grass.
Club hire is a bargain at £2 per round for a half bag.
As pointed out at first don't go if you are seasoned pro but if you want to learn the game somewhere quiet without the usual interruptions/ embarrasments then this is ideal.

Scenery change
Put our clubs in the car yesterday and instead of turning right on our stretch of the A40 we turned left and ended up at Shipton. Value extremely decent and the course (we went round twice) was really quite good for a turn up and play system. Bit slow at times but it happens. A bit of tlc is needed on the tee boxes and lost a couple of balls in the longer edges but overall we will visit again. Facilities a little underwhelming but not enough to stop a revisit. Couldn't believe when a local geezer spoke to me when we had just finished and mentioned that the course had no bunkers? Honestly, I must be some player because I didn't notice a thing lol.Reviewer Rating

Good course for learning
Good course to help build your game, no bunkers and reasonable greens. Driving range with small shop but no 19th for relaxing afterwards.Reviewer Rating

Very friendly welcome
When I arrived there was a friendly face and a nice chat. I really enjoyed my visit, although it was very busy which slowed things up a little bit. Not the most challenging course, but pretty and well maintained.Reviewer Rating

Nice Course
a pay and play 9 hole not long but a bit more challenging then it looks with water on 4 holes friendly staff and generally a nice place to play golf(Round played: May 2021 - Score: 50 Handicap: )
