Best pay and play 9hole

This course is easily one of the best 9 hole pay and play courses i've come across. The greens were surprisingly good and the staff are very friendly.

Beautiful course

Used to play on this course when I was a child, I can happily say that the level of improvement since then is impressive. The greens are a very high standard for a 9 hole pay and play, and the course in general is well kept. I’ll definitely be playing again.

A really nice little course, to get that swing going and practise your putting on excellent greens it's perfect, if you're a low handicapper probably not but if you're like me you just enjoy a quiet game of golf it's ideal, well worth a visit.

There when you need them.

We played there yesterday after we could not get a tee time at Cleeve Hill. The greens were superb, we played off the grass tees and the fairways were playable.

Very pleasantly surprised by this beautiful little course. Flat 9 hole, no bunkers but lots of water features. Quite clear a young course, but the trees are growing well, greens are very good quality. Definitely a course that will mature into a real gem of a the Cotswolds.

I regularly play Shipton as it is nearby and pay and play means no waiting for a tee time. The greens may have been poor in the past but are of a fairly good standard now, despite months of incessent rain which is a great reflection of the work being done by the greenkeepers. The course is not challenging to anyone of a reasonable standard, has no bunkers and the only real hazard is the stream which disects a few fairways. That aside, it is an enjoyable course with friendly staff and is well looked after. Well worth a visit and perfect when you just want a quick 9 holes.

Great Value for Money

If you don't want the pretentiousness, but do want the convenience and joy of a fun, relaxed 9 hole course then this is a great spot to come to if you live anywhere near Cheltenham / Gloucester. Cannot wait to play my first post-lockdown-3 game tomorrow. I hardly play anywhere else, and my mates love it too.. although we are rubbish. The greens are slow and play true making them forgiving, but you'll have your fun with the water and the woods. An amazing number of people I play with are caught out by the stream on the Par 5 5th hole and the Par 4 number 6. Hole 1 and 8 are your most likely Pars and 3 and 7 your most likely Birdie options. Enjoy your 7 shots on hole number 5.

This is a very forgiving course with wide fairways and no sand. A few water jumps, dog legs, generally not very busy, and really well-maintained. A nice, friendly, social nine-hole course which is excellent for honing your skills without losing your balls!
