well kept course
Despite the constant rain, they have managed to keep this course open for all golfers. I only wish they'd make a decision about the grill.;yes or no. It could be a crowd puller.Reviewer Rating

Scenery change
Put our clubs in the car yesterday and instead of turning right on our stretch of the A40 we turned left and ended up at Shipton. Value extremely decent and the course (we went round twice) was really quite good for a turn up and play system. Bit slow at times but it happens. A bit of tlc is needed on the tee boxes and lost a couple of balls in the longer edges but overall we will visit again. Facilities a little underwhelming but not enough to stop a revisit. Couldn't believe when a local geezer spoke to me when we had just finished and mentioned that the course had no bunkers? Honestly, I must be some player because I didn't notice a thing lol.Reviewer Rating

open despite the adverse conditions
Probably one of a few courses open on Monday despite the very soggy conditions underfoot and the very high winds. It was a challenge in the high winds but never the less, a joy to be out on an otherwise pleasant day. Thank you Shipton

butterflies or golfers?
I have always rated this course as brilliant in every way; has driving range, putting green and well kept greens, fairways and staff. Great food and the capacity of the course to absorb a large number of players never ceases to amaze me.The rough between the fairways was today very very long, thick and both ball and time consuming!

Very friendly welcome
When I arrived there was a friendly face and a nice chat. I really enjoyed my visit, although it was very busy which slowed things up a little bit. Not the most challenging course, but pretty and well maintained.Reviewer Rating

Great Value for Money
If you don't want the pretentiousness, but do want the convenience and joy of a fun, relaxed 9 hole course then this is a great spot to come to if you live anywhere near Cheltenham / Gloucester. Cannot wait to play my first post-lockdown-3 game tomorrow. I hardly play anywhere else, and my mates love it too.. although we are rubbish. The greens are slow and play true making them forgiving, but you'll have your fun with the water and the woods. An amazing number of people I play with are caught out by the stream on the Par 5 5th hole and the Par 4 number 6. Hole 1 and 8 are your most likely Pars and 3 and 7 your most likely Birdie options. Enjoy your 7 shots on hole number 5.Reviewer Rating
