For a high handicapper this course was brutal in parts but a superb course non the less. The 15th was my highlight (or low light depending on how you view it) but he course was relentless; no place to hide. Take alot of golf balls - you'll need them

Society Tour picked a calm sunny day conditions ideal.
Plenty of run in the dry conditions and the greens were perfect.
Just about managed the long carries from the 15th, 16th and 17th from the Tees Great course planning.

A Welsh Legend

This course is one of my favourites and so much so that I play it annually and am even thinking about a distance membership. Overlooked by the imposing Harlech Castle there cannot be many better settings to play golf. On a good day with the sun shining there arent many more enjoyable rounds. On a blustery damp day, it's as stern a test of golf as you will find, as a very tough par 69.

Fantastic welcome and awesome layout

2022 July open - first time and many positives, layout is fantastic and people super friendly. good facilities. score well on the front 13 and hold on for 18.

2022 new irrigation being installed and much needed, greens needed water they putted OK but looked burned and patchy all in all maybe next year with new system they will be up there with the best again. I'm told they are pure

Great links golf - lovely setting and lucky to have only a mild breeze. Course must be brutal in strong wind. Perhaps a little rough around the edges in terms of course condition but that really only added to the charm. Back nine stretch of 14-17 fantastic testing golf holes. Finished off with a great bacon butty in the clubhouse.

Last day and was tough

This is a great course but didn't play it well. There is a few holes were you are not sure where you are going and if you weren't on the fairway it made it hard, if that was that you found your ball

Big recovery in a year, last Sept the course had suffered severely in the drought and was in poor condition - most links courses did suffer last year. Has almost recovered though some fairways are still very weak. Greens as well have recovered. I did play as a courtesy, but the regular green fee at £95 is excessive for the condition of the course at present. The meal and staff in the clubhouse were excellent.
