Great course ! SO friendly and nice to play ? Varied layout and interesting. Can't say enough about how nice it is ? Close to Llangollen too ? Watch out for the fine for putting a ball in the moat around the 18th green for the Captain's charity tho ?

the course was on a flat plain with undulating fairways with a waterway running through the middle. all the greens ran true and were in excellent condition. overall a very tasking course even though it looks quite easy on first time seeing it. the course has its own hotel on site and they do very reasonable rates and very good stay and play packages. overall very good!!

Extensive tree plantations on a lot of the course, staked saplings at the moment so it's GUR, but when they mature there will be several blind dog leg holes on this course. Fairways are quite narrow. Staff are friendly and helpful and the clubhouse doesn't charge the earth for drinks.

Three new greens built in 2007 extensive drainage put in mid 2007, 2.5 million extention to clubhouse facilities in 2008 = gym, swimming pool, conference rooms for 100 new changing rooms. Three new greens to be built during Autumn/Spring. Course condition is fast becoming excellent.

Very flat course with a few water hazards. New owners have carried out extensive tree planting to make this a more challenging course for future.
Greens struggle in the wet. Overall great course for beginner/intermediates.

nice condition with true greens
Quite a test for an average player. Found some par 4's hard to reach in 2. Thought I was at PLAYERS 17TH ( on last ). Duffed my tee shot put still scraped a par.Reviewer Rating

Very pleasant course, which has got better over the years.
Reasonably flat, with a few water hazards but overall a forgiving course, especially for the shorter hitters.

Course is nice and flat to play on but the club house and rooms that you stay in are absolutely appalling...it seriousley needs knocking down and renivating no cleaners in fact i think one person does it all...cleaning cooking behind the bar.
its shockingly disgusting!
Golf course is great, greens are crap not that greatly kept.
my other friends bed in his room had sick from a previous resident down the side of his bed stuck to the wall the showers had dirt and black green meldew surrounding it inside so if you want the risk of catching limescale disease take a shower.
Disgusting and they should be ashamed of themselves.

club house is very run down and really poor service if you want a drink or food after the round.....disgusting venue!

Course has deteriorated badly. The greens are now worse than the worst municipal I've ever played near Leicester! Worse still they charge fantastic amounts for what is actually rubbish. The best thing about it is the pro-shop - great guys, great stuff good value. How come the (private owner) doesn't learn from his own shop?
