Challenging.

There are some hidden gems on this course but you need to be accurate to appreciate it.

Great views and location.

Difficult to find the next tee for newcomers, signing very weak in places.

Outstanding

A great golf course. Well laid out with some fantastic views & in excellent condition.
The course challenges your golf skill without you needing to take your driver out for every hole. As you'd expect from a links course, the bumps & hollows really make you work for your score.
The greens were superb, not overly fast, but true.
From the welcome in the pro shop to the staff in the bar, everyone was superb & really helpful.
A must play if in the area.

A fair to middling true links course. It's worth playing just for the wow factor of stepping on to the 6th tee and seeing the amazing view of Colwyn Bay, the sea and Snowdonia in the background. It's clearly got a lot of old members though and pace of play is average. I, by myself, got stuck behind 4 old gentlemen who just wouldn't let me through, despite there being 5 or 6 open holes in front of them and they were looking for balls off every tee. Probably cost me an hour, but enough to prevent me going back. Shame, some very interesting holes

Brilliant winter course

Amazing condition for winter and for £12 on a Monday what value. Worth the drive from Manchester. All staff helpful and friendly.

Great setting and views. Easy walk. Friendly pro shop. Plenty of character to most of the holes. More contour than conwy, so in many ways more memorable holes.
It is much easier though, and the finish is very disappointing after a very enjoyable first 15. Not quite as good nick as its neighbour either.
Probably slightly over rated on here relative to conwy but not by much you should definitely play both

Course was in great condition considering the weather we have had this year. Even in the wind and rain the course true and fair. Food was good. Will look at going back next year with the society. Played on Friday 3rd March.

Played the course last Monday (26th Sept) and had a fantastic day. All staff were very friendly and helpful, course was in brilliant condition and greens running very true.
would definitely recommend visiting this course, Play this course ahead of it's neighbour Maesdu (which is just a glorified parkland course)
