A fair links style course, with some rough edges, but good value for money

Been pleasing too see how much this course has really improved over the last few years. Fairways and Greens were excellent but Tees and Bunkers need attention. The back 9 is much more challenging - the holes along the railway are some of my favourites - than the front 9. The front 9 has generous fairways and the rough has been cut right back so you really need to spray it to get into the hay. I played as a courtesy and all the club staff were very helpful. Recommended.

Cracking course, not too long but a thinker.
Fairways well tidy, nice drainage being a links course but grass very nice condition.

Quality

Forgot how good this course is (not played for ten years)a very warm welcome, the lady on reception who I booked the round with.was very understanding as we got stuck in traffic coming, not an issue to put the tee back for us..much appreciated. The golf course is fantastic, which has some great scenery to admire ,all greens run true, and all in perfect condition. And as golf has got more expensive during the lockdown, prestatyn appears to understand this..£20 from 4 bells onwards..need I say more..a must play for all golfers ,who get what makes us come back regardless of how we have played

Got a really good deal on golfnow so that really softened the blow. Had I paid full price and driven 1 and half hours to get there I wouldnt have been impressed at all. Its advertised as a links course, its not, just because its next to the coast does not make it a links course. But most annoyingly, it advertises for great drainage and all year round play, granted its rained for a few days before but the municipal parkland course facing my house probably had a couple of puddles, this course advertising great natural drainage had pretty much 25% of holes covered in ankle deep water. The 1st, 2nd and 6th were very boggy. The 3rd, 7th, 8th and 9th were pretty much a paddling pool from tee to green.
Im purely warning to not go near after any rain.
Had it not rained and been advertised as a well draining links course like the one Im a member of which didnt even have a puddle in sight, Im sure its a great course.
Good challenge, greens are fantastic. Definitely worth playing when theres been zero rain whatsoever

Played the course in glorious weather today, 18th of May with a golf society. Staff from the pro shop, bar and catering are very friendly. Course was in nice condition. One thing needs sorting is the bunkers. Very bare and more like soil than sand. Otherwise a very enjoyable day. Will be back.

Great course well laid out, front nine is relatively straight forward if you find the fairways back nine is more challenging. Course was in perfect condition tee to green, esp the greens. Played here a few times with mixed results depending on the wind. Would definately play again soon and reconmend it.

Interesting course, pity about the customer service

An attractive and interesting course which was well maintained when we played in early September. But we were distinctly unimpressed by the service. On a very wet day - and after our group had paid over £400 to play there - the guy in the pro shop assured us there were no towels anywhere in the club. And before our round we waited 40 minutes for bacon butties and coffee when the clubhouse was practically empty. We have been going to North Wales for golf trips for 25 years and I can assure you other clubs are much more welcoming to visitors
