What the club says: Rhyl golf course is a 9 hole (18 tee) challenging links with large fairways but tight, well guarded greens which will challenge golfers of all standards. The par 71 course (off the white tees) provides a test for any golfer, especially when the northerly and westerly winds blow. The greens are firm and fast, the course is open throughout the year and even in winter - playing conditions are particularly good. The greens are always in excellent condition and we never need to use temporaries plus, the fairways make preferred lies unnecessary other than in the wettest years. Set just outside of Rhyl, off the coast road to Prestatyn, the Irish Sea is only yards away from the length of the course. This course provides a test and excellent value for money at any time of the year.

Most Helpful Review

rhyl golf course is ideal if you just want a nice relaxing game. theres a good chance of just going on a sat or sun without booking and still get a round in as long as there are no comps on. perfect for me when i go to my caravan at weekends.the course itself is flat no trees but gets a good breeze from the sea as its on the seafront it only has 9 greens but has 18 tees. - Jul 8 2008

This Course looks easy but it throws up some tricky little shots that you need to play well worth playing

Mike Black, Ellesmere Port rated 4 out of 5 - Jul 25 2014

A good test of golf, especially when the wind is blowing. There is evidence of flood damage from last year's storms, but the course is in excellent condition. It is particularly tricky when the wind is blowing towards Prestatyn, making the final 2 holes seem like monsters. Don't expect a level lie on the fairway, as this is true links golf - keep it low when the wind is blowing!
