What the club says: A well - wooded mountain course with springy turf. Good views of the Rhondda valleys and coast. During the summer the greens are quick, difficult and the course immaculately maintained and becomes a true test of golf for every standard of golfer.

WOW, what a little gem.
I was in Wales on a scouting mission for a society for next year & stumbled across this little stunner.
If you've never been then go out of your way to play it, you WILL NOT be disappointed.
The Pro found time to sit & buy me a coffee!!! and was easy to talk to, he ran me through the prices for 2013, & gave me a FREE course guide & pitchfork. I guess that's Welsh hospitality.!! I will be booking our society in at Pontypridd without hessitation.
The course is a good test of golf for all abilities, the scenery is just out of this world, & the greens are just amazing, I played in November and they were still like lightening..!!
I'm looking forward to our trip to Wales already.

Played this course with a society in mid June 2011. The course was excellent condition with really smooth quick greens and well kept fairways. It is a nice mature course on the top of a hill, however, it isn't too hilly considering its location, we played 27 holes and I walked and carried all the way and it wasn't a problem. My only criticism of the course would be that a few holes crossed each other but this didn't spoil the round. The views across Pontypridd and the valleys were spectacular. The club house is nice, with a good view out over Pontypridd and the 18th from the bar. We were well treated, with good food and helpful staff. Best of all was the value, great! I would come again.
