No visiting parties (12+) accepted on Wednesdays or at Weekends, although smaller numbers can be accomodated at these times.
Tee reserved for members 12 - 2pm but as there are at least four possible tee off points this can be overcome.

What the club says: The course was designed by Alistair MacKenzie famous as the designer of the Augusta National course and many other prominent American courses and incorporates three examples of the Mackenzie green. Pontefract and District Golf Club was established in 1904. The course is an attractive parkland course with several interesting holes. Because of its compact layout is a good test of golf for a par of 71 and a SSS of 69.

Lovely course.well worth a visit
Played here on Friday and well impressed. Been a few years since we last played here, but still a well maintained as we rememberedit before.Course is long and challenging Friendly staff and fellow golfers. Would highly recommend and hopefully play here again soonReviewer Rating

Played on a quiet day so no pressure. Course was in good condition, and the greens were testing. Some tricky holes, Food after was very good too.

First visit and felt could have done better will need to return. Course in good condition, some tee boxes were worn and bare patches on some greens but did not spoil the enjoyment.
Felt safe in the precautions the club had taken for cov19. No food available on Thursday's.

Tidy little course

Great course in good conditions ther is a lot of hills . So if you like a flat course this is not for you . They do have golf buggys to hire but you have to phone to book them . But great course . If you play in the autumn try to pick a coloured ball ther is lots of trees . And now the leafs are falling so finding it is very hard

I have played this course many times and have not seen it in as good a condition at this time of year as it currently is. It is a joy to play and is quickly returning to the superb conditions of yesteryear.

today the course was very wet, plus the tees were moved forward, but the again the ball did not roll to far, greens good for only £9 great value for money. i like this course the holes are great

A good challenge for any golfer undulating fairways tricky pin positions and pin point driving required bring your a game to this course if you want to keep your card low

Travelled over from Doncaster to try a course I haven't played before and I was left a little disappointed.The fairways were in a poor state and could have done with a cut and you can see that the work they are doing is affecting the condition of the course.I paid £18 and I think there are a lot of better value courses in the area .The positive ive got was the greens were excellent BUT still wouldnt rush back.

The grass was far to long, all around the course, even the fairways grass was long, in our 4 ball others must have lost 6 balls between them, shame because i like the course and the set up.

Greens and fairways in god condition, very lush farways. Greens a little slow and a very playable course for medium to high handicappers. Not too hilly but some lovely views and overall enjoyable first visit.
