First game after 4 wks knee injury and although the course was longer than we generally play it was not too tiring being moderately contoured and well maintained. There appears to be good short game practice and putting areas, but due to short notice game no time to use them or visit clubhouse. Pro shop staff friendly and helpfull.

This has got to be one of the very best courses you will play. Every hole is different, shots over water off the tee or to reach the green. Doglegs right and left. Some reachable par fours off the tee, some monsters that require two damn good hits to get there. Watch out for the 7th where there is a ditch across the fairway at about 200 metres. So lay up! Then you get to the greeens that are fast, even after all the rain we've had of late. They are very undulating which allows the greenkeepers to be able to put the pins in some really difficult positions. The pro was exceptional. Very welcoming, in fact, we got the best welcome we've ever had. Top bloke ! We got a wave or at the very least a nod off all members on and off the course. They must make sure you are a friendly sort before they let you join here. Locker room is nowt to write home about, but the bar area is !!!! Two quality snooker tables and a really old fashioned members area that just oozes history! The bar has the usual beers on AND JW LEES MILD that is like Guiness. Brilliant !!!!!! I enjoyed every second I was there.

brilliant sunny weather made for an excellent round of golf, the course is in beautifull condition and is a great challenge.

Great course in very good condition, on going work being carried out at the minute can only make it even better,played it today shot 88 playing of 17 (36 points)

A very good course, full of variety with plenty of undulation, lots of long par 4's but three are under 300 yards. Played on a soaking wet afternoon and the course drained fine, a couple of the greens looked to be undergoing some drainage work but they were generally good. Bunker sand a bit on the muddy earthy side. Friendly pro shop and good value at £22.50 on tee off times on a Sunday afternoon. Will visit again on a fine day!

Tough but rewarding
Well laid out course with no two holes the same. A straight, lengthy hitter will have no trouble here but anywhere offline can result in some punishing lies and plenty of penalty strokes.Reviewer Rating

Course in great condition, very firm fairways, greens hard and true. Accuracy important as anything slightly off line leads to punishing rough.
