Course was wet to the point the fairways were unplayable. Fairways are littered with chunks of the fairway as brushing it with a club brings up an enormous divot.
Clubhouse rundown, Very hilly (hardly any benches on the course, maybe one?!), Rather dull run of holes, too many anonymous Par 4's in a row, need some more variety.
With the amount of courses in Manchester that charge half the price of NMGC, I don't see any reason to play here over others..

Most enjoyable golf course , some testing par 4's ,but also has its reward holes .especially if your on your A game.great welcome from the pro and not overbooked which helps the flow of the round..3 ball 3 hours.wI'll return again..but might just get a buggy. Toughest course in Manchester
I played this course recently and found the course very tough , however in good condition throughout with tricky greens and longPar 4's .
The clubhouse is old but welcoming , with snooker tables , showers
And a good sized car park
A must for any low to mid handicapper

The course was in fantastic condition, the members were friendly, but the four ladies in front of me need educating on golf etiquette. If you can't keep up with the players in front of you, let faster players behind you through! BASIC GOLF ETIQUETTE!!!!

The course although very wet was in good condition for the time of year and all the holes were on summer greens.

I found this course to be very good condition given the kind of summer we have had a real mans course. As for the club house it old but apparently a new one is on the horizon or so l am told. Members were very friendly and I enjoyed my after game pint. To answer Grahams complaint about his custard, really is that a golf review??? I will certainly be back

Course was ok but too many blind shots. My problem however is with the service in the clubhouse. After our round we had arranged a meal. The food was good but the service was not. I do not eat custard so when the sweet arrived I asked if i could have a pie without custard and wad told no its already been done.I explained I could not eat it. Two minutes later a pie without custard arrived and I was told to stop sulking. Not the type of service I expected at all.

Cast your mind back into the history of your golfage. Recall the worst course you have ever played. I've just played 9 holes of something even worse!
Walked into the club lounge and got met with a steward/bar manager who was in desperate need of a personality transplant.
Run down clubhouse where they had a dress code in, but they didn't mind folk practicing in man city kits and jeans, dirty work clothes out front.
Got to the 4th hole and the pro is giving someone a driving lesson on the hole, so it's littered with balls and then stood watching tapping his feet waiting for us to play.
Rough had been cut and not collected. Greens hollow tined a few weeks ago but not sanded, and a deep shag pile carpet would probably have rated faster on the stimp meter.
Walked off after 9! I really don't know what course the other reviewers on here have played to give it 5 stars.

Played here for the first time yesterday. Nice course with some long challenging holes early on. Will definitely visit again.
